Good

It was a good stay, overall.

Comfortable Bed Friendly staff. The check-in experience was easy and straight-forward. Restaurant is pretty good for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Location isn't perfect. There was very limited supply of water and snacks in the room. The phone in the room didn't work.

Very good

room is quite spacious, was very happy about mine. everything works properly and the shower is great. my room was quiet, and was in my spectations. staff (most os them) were very attentive. some speak very little english.

the hotel itself is quite small, theres no lounge really but theres the restaurant that sort of behaves like the lounge, but its not. when you check out and need to wait a while before making a move you have to do that at the restaurant. no room service.

Very good

Cute, safe spot within walking distance of Cours Julien and Vieux Port. Get the breakfast!

Hotel was very cute and Instagram-ready. Cheerful and cool. The staff were amazing, particularly bartender Alexei. My French is atrocious but he patiently let me try to talk to him :-) We ordered dinner one night at the bar and the PANISSES were amazing. The goat cheese salad and pancetta plate were also good. The fresh plates of vegetables, cheese and meat were the best value for money. The breakfast was lovely, the perfect start to a day of adventuring in the city. Room stayed cold and mostly quiet. Located within walking distance of Cours Julien, a plaza bustling with life and cafes. A bit further of a walk to Vieux Port.

The bed could have been a bit firmer, but that's a personal preference. I didn't like all the metal accessories in the room(like the trashcan and side table) because they were really loud. The bed needs a sheet as well as the comforter- despite the good AC the goose-down comforter was too hot to sleep under. Food at the bar was good but a bit expensive. The fresh plates of vegetables, cheese and meat were the best value for money.

I will go back to Marseille but never at Mama Shelter Marseille!

The front desk staff was overwhelmed and welcoming, i had booked the room with breakfast included and they never found that information, no compromise the client is looser at Mama Shelter Marseille. The room was very noisy from the hotel bar, ive asked to be changed on the street side but it was such a big deal for the front desk that i stayed in my noisy room. I travel a lot and rarely meet an hotel so unwelcoming

A good hotel in Marseille, but not centrally located

The hotel is beautifully decorated, staff is kind and helpful, rooms were very clean and very nicely decorated, beds were very comfortable

The location is far from the center and most of the tourist attractions . The nearest subway station is 10 minutes walk. We ended up driving our rental car everywhere- and driving in Marseille is not easy

Lovely Stay for the Middle of Marseille

Very friendly staff at reception. Great bar/restaurant onsite. Good location to walk around Marseille. Stylistic. Lovely colourful building. Comfortable and clean room. Safe parking onsite is definitely an added bonus.

Bit expensive for what you get, but understandable with the RWC on.

The room and the cleaniness of the facilities.

The price - it is so expensive for what it is. The parking is 20 eur a night, even for guests. The staff barely speaks English sometimes and is not very helpful.

Disappointing

Disappointing experieence .... Usually we love Mama hotels and travel there whenever we can but this time it was so disappointing ... Toilets and shower were not clean, we had one small soap for 2 days ... not at the level we expected.
