Pleasant stay but could have been better

Our room was great. For five people we had plenty of space, good facilities in the kitchen and a great view of the pool. The shuttle service from the hotel to the town was very helpful.

When we arrived, we spoke to the front desk about hopefully leaving our bags with them as we arrived early into port Douglas and couldnt collect keys until two. We were told that our booking was a private one and so they couldnt help us even though it was advertised on the website that this was possible. We managed to get ahold of the contact given in our booking confirmation who told us we would have to keep our five, 16kg bags with us until check in - for four and a half hours. The overall attitude from staff was unhelpful and as a group of young adults staying, felt as if we werent welcome.

We had one of the best spots in the resort, away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to the pool bar.

Loved it and would go again!

Sea Temple is amazing! The location of this apartment is perfect, especially for young families. Away from the middle, deep end of pool, and a touch quieter. The size of the apartment is amazing for long stays!

Very minor, but with the location, kids from apartments to your left use your private patio edge to walk around the pool. The air vents need to be cleaned for mould.

Poor

Not all that it's cracked up to be, not that luxurious.

Good sized bathroom.

Room looked worn, tired and in need of a revamp. One of the lounge seats had a big stain. There was a water leak from what I assume to be a hot water system from behind a door outside, next to the front door, therefore water always at the front door area. Both my wife and I tried contacting the owner a few weeks before we arrived to follow up on a discussion we had when we originally booked this room months prior but there was no response. Arrived early around 12:45pm and check in was no earlier than 2pm but went and got the door keycards just to leave my bags in the room and saw the cleaners hadn't even started. Check out was 10am so I asked for a late check out the day before for 11:30am based on the fact the cleaners hadn't started cleaning the room when I turned up on the first day at 12:45pm. Owner said no as they were booked back to back and didn't want to hear what I had to say. Would of been better off booking through Pullman and getting a serviced room.
