    The position and the area is lovely and the room was spacious but i wouldn't stay again with the final 2 bight we plan to be in bergamo again. We arrived Dec 25. As this hotel is a restaurant also those eating take priority for them and one staff/owner (unsure) made that well known us.

Granted it was a busy in demand day but we also paid well above 2 star hotel rates of other hotels around the country to have a nice Xmas experience also. The manager woman after our plane delay caused the airport shuttle to cancel, didn't want to cooperate to help a taxi driver who didn't know where to go saying they were a 2 star and I should just find our own way on Google. We gained no apology for such a stress reaction during our stay That marred what could have been a magical stay.

    Hope to stay again!
    The location is fabulous, right on the Piazza Vecchia. After arriving quite late from the airport and catching the local bus we found the hotel very easily. The music was great playing in the restaurant and would have stayed, but we wanted to soak up the atmosphere of the Citt Alta as we were only staying for 1 night. The room was lovely and warm, and the bed was comfortable. At breakfast, we were greeted by a lovely man and young lady who provided our coffee, etc. Great selection at breakfast is all fresh and tasty.
    The shower was very compact. However, the juliet balcony and lovely view of rooftops and distant cypress trees compensated.

    Il Sole's best assets are the location right by the Piazza Vecchia and the wonderfully helpful staff.
    There was not hot water.
