The Perfect Retreat offering peace and tranquillity

This was all about location and scale. Very well appointed and not too large. Naturally located on the headland and not on the beach so a lot quieter and surrounded by lots of trees and shrubbery to enhance the exclusivity and privacy. Our room was in a block behind the hotel just across form the small swimming pool. The parking is off the road and is secure at night. the staff were very engaging and helpful and produced the most excellent local tourist map on arrival. You can swim in the pool or walk to the local beaches which surround the headland. The local bus stops just outside which is convenient and there is a local shop just outside the gate.

This hotel only serves breakfast so other meals have to be taken away from the property. Still there is lots of choice in either the old town of Antibes or down on the beachfront at Juan Les Pins. This was not clear to me when booking. My sat nav thinks Bd J.F. Kennedy is in Juan les Pins and not Antibes so it would have made getting here a little easier if I had worked that out before hand!

Good but a couple of improvements would take it to an even better level

Breakfast on the large garden patio was good Lots of sitting areas Rooms were kept very clean

Lights in room not good for reading, needed a floor standing lamp Needed more drawer space, antique cupboard in bedroom should be replaced with usable chest of drawers One of the terrace doors locks was broken and not working properly

Good

They charged me a second time for the room which I am now disputing in order to get a refund. Im sure an honest mistake but nevertheless an inconvenience.
