horrible. we paid for 5 nights and left (even though we were fully paid) after 2.

this hotel is wildly over priced. we would recommend choosing another option, ANY other option.

Truly a special property that everyone should experience at least once.

Nearly every detail of HVF is picked and designed to be stellar. To say the service is top-notch would be an understatement. They have a golf cart service to help you get around Positano, the staff is there to help you with even the smallest of issues, and the pool/rooftop view shows you a 360 degree view of the entire city. This property truly is the top hotel in Positano.

As good as our stay was, there were a few things that could have been made better. The room is quite small, so if you have large suitcases, it's very hard to walk around in the room. Also, there was no full length mirror in our room, which for the money you're paying, you fully expect. That's the only reason I did not rate it a 10/10.

Wasnt happy at all with the hotel. Shouldnt be classed as 5 star. Only deserves 4 star rating

Only the view, staff were friendly

Couldnt use the swimming pool, couldnt use jacuzzi or steam room unless I paid 850 which was very disappointing. Bathroom too small. Didnt get picked up as promised. I had to walk to the hotel which was quite high up on the hill

worst value for money - terrible Amalfi coast experience

not much to be frank, outside maybe the rooftop view.

it was one of the worst stays I have ever done in a hotel, which pretends to be high standing, but it is pretty far from it. staff (outside of just 2 people) were rude and condescending. the room was mislabeled as sea view, but only had extremely restricted sea view. the manager is only staying at the bar the poorly glance at people entering. shuttle to the city only run at very restricted timings. and nail in the coffin: I forgot a bottle of perfume in the room (my bad). it was a wedding gift, but the staff pretending to not retrieving it. that was the ultimate disgust. In all honesty, everywhere else in Positano and in the Amalfi coast, people are extremely charming, friendly, welcoming, helpful. you name it. but villa Franca is literally the opposite. I cannot believe they are getting 5 stars. they should tour all other places in town to learn a bit about hospitality. or otherwise change job / sell the place to people who are keen to provide minimum service.

Spectacular Location but value for money no longer

Location is the highlight with the rooftop pool and ocean facing balcony the two reasons to stay here

Service seems to have dropped off since last we stayed a few years ago - staff do not approach you and are not as friendly or customer focused quite often blaming the customer when asked anything or if theres an issue. The prices are astronomical given the tiny rooms and food is average
