Superb

A pefectly located recommended hotel for staying in Bilbao!

The hotel holds a great and safe location, since it's a walking distance from everything! Just outside the hotel you can find taxi 24/7, Indautxu metro station is just a 2' walk, while Bilbao bus station (much recommended for daily trips to other close cities) is in less than 1km walking distance. Restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, markets are located just in the next block. It's also very close to main shopping area. Breakfast was perfect, having several good quality options to cover all possible tastes. The hotel has also a good restaurant and a bar in case you prefer to stay in. Personnel was polite and helpful. Our room was very spacious and quiet, with a huge bath. Fresh towels and sheets were changed every day, cleaning wasn't excellent but at a quite reasonable level. To sum up, putting everything under consideration, our stay was definitely a value of money and will 100% choose again Silken Hotel Indautxu next time we visit Bilbao!

Disappointing

Good location, disappointing rooms and overall experience

Hotel location is quite good if you travel without car. The lobby is nice and spacious.

The staff on reception were not friendly. We travelled by car and haven't been warned that parking reservation is needed, so needed to leave our car in a city parking. Unfortunately, the first room we got had cigarette smoke smell and the room we had in exchange wasn't the best you can get for your money. The bathroom was a bit damaged and bath tub was dirty, door was worn out. Additionally it was strange that 4-star hotel does not offer any bottled complementary water, with the staff advising to enjoy tap water.

Comfortable stay but expensive and busy

Very comfortable beds, good bathroom, good central location, short walk to casco viejo and Guggenheim

Parking was full when we arrived, so went to recommended Plaza Indautxu, 20eur per day, short walk. No kettle in room, no tea and coffee facilities.

Exceptional

This is a very comfortable hotel which was nice to return to after a day of activities in winter weather.It was easy to find and conveniently located near to a metro station and within easy walking distance of the Guggenheim.

At times some of the reception staff were not too cheerful or particularly friendly while others were very helpful and friendly.

Centrally located hotel with clean rooms

The location of the hotel is great at just 200 m from the Indautxu metro station. Checking in was very easy: There was an option to check in in advance and once at the hotel, I only had to pay for the nights and received the key. I had a single room in one of the top floors. The room was rather small but clean. Idem for the bathroom. The bathroom actually did not have a bidet, which was advertised during booking. The bed was very comfortable and though there was some noise on the corridor in the evening, during the night it remained quiet. I did have a small balcony overlooking the street. Breakfast was above expectations with fresh buns and fresh (!) fruit. Nice addition: Dessert from the Bask country. Personnel was very friendly. I definitely recommend staying here.

The single room was a bit on the small side with little possibility to store luggage. The breakfast room lacks a bit of atmosphere, which is compensated by the quality of the food.
