Very good

Lovely clean functional hotel with overall friendly helpful staff and

Spare and functional, room was clean and tidy if a little rough around the edges (doors looked like they had been clawed by a dog at some point). Cleaning staff always came in and provided fresh towels and neatened everything, beds were clean and radiators were hot so room was warm. Some staff were exceptionally lovely and friendly, went out of their way to help us.

A couple of staff members were standoffish and rude, young kids on first day and gentleman on night shift when we woke early. Wasn't a very friendly city in general though. Woman running breakfast room was terrifying, slamming and banging and raising eyebrows amongst a few guests each morning.

Very good

Overall excellent experience staying at Hotel Italia.

Since we stayed for a long time the breakfast was repetitive almost everyday. Not much variety. Otherwise the breakfast was good. The service at the breakfast venue was excellent.

The bathing cubicle is too small is the only complaint. If that is taken care, I would rate everything excellent.

Disappointing

I was so disappointed. I wont be back.

Close to public transport

Breakfast was dreadful. Young uniformed staff member watched over us like a prison guard. Very poor breakfast selection- boiled eggs which nobody appeared to take and dubious sausage portions coupled with very poor croissants and juice. Would have gone elsewhere but nothing better open in the area.

Very good

Overall stay was very nice. Nothing to grumble much.

We liked the staff who were very friendly and willing to help. Cleanliness of the room was excellent and it was cleaned every day.

The bathing cubicle was too small. Breakfast was repeated. May be we felt it that way because we stayed for long (10 days)

Exceptional

Great location, great staff and great quality/price balance

The location is great, near to the city centre and the railway station Porta Nuova. It was a bit cold in the city but there was a radiator with the temperature controller, which is great. The breakfast is quite good with tea/coffee, different types of buns, cereals, fruit, meat and cheese. There was no teapot in the room, but the staff was very nice and gave us hot water and cups when we asked for it.
