Very poor

Loud elevator noise kept us awake

We were staying on the top floor, room 405. This room must be right next to the elevator engine room because we could hear a constant and extremely loud whirring and clanging sound until 1am and from 5:30am onwards. This sound severely disrupted our sleep. What made things worse is how the hotel receptionist dealt with it. Instead of just apologising and offering some kind of compensation, she acted surprised and claimed no one had ever complained about this. However, it took us just a couple of minutes to find several reviews (of which we have screenshots) complaining specifically about the elevator noise. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

Lovely central hotel ideal for spending time in Verona

Fabulous location right in the centre, cosy hotel with a good vibe and great breakfast. Staff friendly and accommodating. Hotel flexible too for the marathon by providing an early breakfast for runners
