Very good

Great for a short getaway.

We stayed at the Modernist Hotel since there were ongoing renovations at Hotel Continentale. Location is central (just round the corner of Hotel Continentale) and the room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also very good.

Hotel Continentale changed our accommodation to the Modernist Hotel due to ongoing renovations. the Modernist Hotel was good and comfortable, therefore this has nothing to do with the Modernist Hotel per se. Nevertheless, we would have appreciated if communication about the change in our accommodation was done before our free cancellation deadline and not exactly the day after this deadline had passed (even more so when renovations had been ongoing for a while). Thankfully we liked the new hotel, but if we didn't we were given a Hobson's choice since we couldn't cancel it for free anymore even though we had paid a premium to have the free cancellation option.

Dont pay anything upfront refunds impossible

Tried to cancel 2 weeks in advance - even moved to to another hotel in chain after i tried to cance. Dont pay anything upfront to this hotel group. The friends that actually used the place said it was OK. They would it was a free hotel for them. 2 Rooms for a week nearly 1000E

Good location

Location is perfect (in the very city centre) and they have valet parking service (since most of the hotels in Trieste does not have a private parking).

Hotel rooms needs refurbishing.

Not worth the price- expected better!

During my two days stay there was not internet, one of the elevators made unsettling sounds and so several times I preferred to use the stairs. The rooms were scantily furnished.

Decent but the price is too high for this place.

The shower cabin was smaller than anything have ever seen. It wasnt even possible to lean in it. Morever, it didnt feel safe, it felt like it was going to overturn. The floor of the cabin was sliding. Very disappointed for the shower cabin.
