A great dog friendly stay

Friendly and warm atmosphere, spacious rooms, comfy beds and dog friendly. Easy walk to main tram line.

We didn't take the breakfast - looked like a lot of money for a basic buffet.

Great little hotel in Ghent.

The location - very near the train station and easy to find, 20-minute walk from the attractions from there. The room was spacious, very comfortable and clean with a beautiful bathroom and nice finishing touches. Comfortable beds, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities made for a relaxing stay. We were also allowed to keep our luggage at the hotel after checking out for free which was great!

Staff were were very friendly and polite but when we reported the hairdryer not working no offer was made to help me dry my hair and we had to wait in the lobby until it more or less dried so as not to go out with wet hair in December. A member of staff suggested I hadnt pressed a button along with moving a selector on the hairdryer (I had) and promised to check it. Thats it.

Quaint little hotel with spcious & cosy big room

Location : a mere 350 meters from the Ghent St Peters station. Do watch out for dog poo on the street. Hotel : Small reception area but cosy enough. Hotel front desk was very helpful in providing information on food and direction to city center. Elevator a bit small but pretty typical in european city center. We had 4 rooms and occupied the entired level - we could have open all our doors and made it felt like our private huge apartment which was fun. Room is spcious, clean and well setup; good lighting with free bottled water and coffee machine in the room, we especially like the chairs which we could sit and chat while sipping drinks. Brilliant little hotel. Loved my stay even though it was just one night. Staff were super friendly.

Fantastic location and price. Lots of restaurants and even a Carrefour supermarket a 5 min walk away. Loved the Nespresso machine in the room and tea selections. Much more than I expected for a 3-star hotel.

Great stay near Gent station

This is the second time I stay at Hotel Carlton. I can only find positive points: the location, the rooms, how clean it is, the friendliness of the people, the breakfast. I have stayed in a couple of hotels in the area, this is the best by far.

Its pricey but its worth it.
