A Gem in Benelmadena

Hotel Alay is in a great location and very well presented. We had a fabulous room with side sea view, overlooking the beach and could see part of the Marina. All the staff we met during our stay were outstanding, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hectic as can be imagined with a busy well populated hotel but tables were always available and the staff kept used tables cleared. The buffet platters/ dishes were always refreshed so no shortage of whatever was wanted. Breakfast included an excellent, selection of both hot and cold dishes. The hotel also had outstanding pool & patio areas to sunbathe & relax.

Rooms & beds were comfortable but a little refresh would not go amiss. Some of the power sockets were damaged and needed some maintenance but there were plenty of outlets so not a big issue.

It was really amazingly quiet! Considering the hotel is in the centre , I have very quiet room the staff is amazing very professionals and friendly Monica and Nadia in the front dear will take care of You the boss Alvaro is very helpful and speak perfect English , stunning decorations in the hotel the owner its a Russian lady who is very into arts , the only think I would change is standing cocking eggs , omlet etc This hotel is on top of my list in the area now thank you again Alay and see you soon :)

Amazing views from room balcony - sunrises were stunning! Great facilities. Staff very friendly & accommodating. Location.

Fairly small room with limited storage. Had to put chairs on balcony to make space for suitcases in room. Got very busy at breakfast. Not many options for cooked veggie/vegan breakfast.

Great hotel well worth a visit.

The Hotel was in a fabulous location, very clean and lovely helpful staff, especially Will who worked on the bar and breakfast service. Fantastic view, we were on the 6th floor overlooking the Port. Great choice at breakfast and plenty of tables to choose from. The bar was well stocked and not over priced like some hotels.

Couldn't complain about anything at all. It was perfect. Would highly recommend.

Very good

Amazing seafront location hotel, next to the lovely Marina.

Wonderful staff, all so hard working and the hotel is in a great location on the seafront. The room was kept very clean and the seafront view was spectacular.

A few more healthy options that are not meat based would be good for some of us but the restaurant staff were very helpful and attentive.

Excellent location for marina and beach, resturants, buses etc Staff SUPERB! various levels of english but ALL wonderful, helpful, efficient and give a very warm welcome from Nadine on checking in which gave the trip a great start Rooms very spacious and adequate side balcony Bathroom very clean and stocked toiletries, hairdryer Well equipped gym Great selection of cold foods/fruits/salads Well stocked bar Efficient staff, clearing tables, tidying chairs etc Beautiful paintings/artwork and pieces of art throughout hotel Fantastic hotel layout, not one big square block Highly recommend, I myself shall be coming again

Breakfast sausage was more hotdog rather than 'meat' sausage Bacon greasy in oil Dinner food quality/choice couldn't been slightly better Would've liked some background music in evenings in lounge/bar area and maybe have TV in games room for sports or just show on 'one' screen as some off us aren't on holiday to watch sport Additional staff on bar, especially when the 1 person has to make cocktails, it can build up queue and can take 15/20mins get served. Great library of books but None in English Bathroom little dated

Great place for out of season

Lovely and clean, good location, beautiful views. Breakfast had alot of variety. I can imagine in the summer this place would be extremely over crowded and the pool is small and road would be very busy! We went in December so this wasn't a problem for us.

The smell of air freshener in the lobby was extremely over powering and the bed wasn't a double it was 2 singles pushed together, but the hotel offers a double bed so slightly misleading
