Would definitely return but would probably choose a different room.

Amazingly decorated with brilliant facilities. Brilliant atmosphere in the evening Beautiful grounds to walk around Really friendly and helpful staff!

We stayed in room 1610 which is at the top of the stairs. There was an event on in the upstairs function room which meant a lot of people were walking past the the room and hanging around on the landing which made it quite noisy and didnt feel very private.

something different for the weekend that ticks the box.

Quirky yet wonderful hotel with heaps of character on the edge of town. The lady who checked us in was very enthusiastic as was the staff who served us our evening drinks.

Breakfast on Saturday am was rather slow ..... ordered the food on the Friday night with great excitement but sadly the delivery of the food was slow .... felt somewhat forgotten. I did have lunch with the family on Saturday and the food & service was excellent. Beautifully severed.

Highly enjoyable overnight stay, dinner and breakfast Co. Highly recommended.

Welcoming and helpful staff. Beautifully designed and well furnished interior that was a little quirky but lovely. Dinner was well prepared and beautifully presented: Breakfast equally so.

There was a problem with the propertys mains power supply which caused the lights to dim and brighten. This added to the quirkiness of the place but could be slightly irritating. It seems the National Grid had miscalculated the load required by a nearby new housing development to the detriment of Highfield House! Hopefully theyll soon have it rectified.

Thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. Faultless. Well be back and well recommend to all and sundry

So beautifully presented, especially with the Christmas decorations in full flow. Very attentive staff. Our bedroom - The Mallard - was perfect in every way - meticulously designed, spacious and luxurious. The restaurant was unfortunately closed on that night but the breakfast was excellent.

No marmalade for breakfast!!
