Not safe for single females

Location and pool area.

As a repeat customer it was extremely disappointing. When I arrived the door to the unit was wide open. It seems the security code was not working. And during my entire stay the security never worked leaving my room unlocked. The screen on the slider kept coming off and I would need to lock back into place. The coffee maker leaked and I wasn't able to make coffee. I spoke to Marlene (I think this was her name) about these issues and at the time she seemed concerned but nothing was done!!!! I spent close to $800 for this stay and I got nothing - especially NO SECURITY OR SENCE OF SECURITY. This is unacceptable. I requested a refund but was told by the man on Tuesday is was not going to happen. Up til this point I've highly recommended Ocean Hibiscus, especially to my single gal friends for it's security, no more!

The apartment was adequate, but very worn; not a vacation stay to look forward to.

Good location.

Studio apartment needs updating and a deep cleaning. Balcony had not been cleaned - needed sweeping, furniture wiped down and spider webs removed. Bathroom fan completely dust covered. Worn bed sheets.

The best vacation place I have been too and will surely go again.

The decor and lay out were perfect. It was a cozy beach side resort that we would definitely book again.

We are tall people (6'3 and 5"10) and the beds were not a little small for us.

DO NOT waste your money on Hibiscus Oceanfront Resort.

St. Augustine was beautiful, but the location of the resort was "just okay." Honestly, being able to go up on the roof was nice because that's the only place we could see the ocean from our "ocean view" room. The pool and hottub at the resort were decent, but it closed at 8pm, and we were supposed to have some kind of wristband to even get in.

There was absolutely no communication from the property management, and there was never anybody in the office. The air-conditioning in the unit we were in (building I unit 304) was broken, so it was a humid 80 degrees in the condo the entire time. In addition, half of the outlets in the condo didn't work. The bathroom door couldn't be latched or locked, which was interesting with 4 kids. We were supposed to have a parking pass in our room upon arrival, but it wasn't there, and the lack of communication made it so that we were stressed out our entire vacation not knowing whether or vehicle would be towed or not. The walls in that place were also paper-thin, so you could hear drunk people partying and upset kids crying at all hours. The condo itself was also dirty inside and just made you feel a little gross. Tons of crumbs under the couch, stained carpet and stained upholstery on the chairs, mold and mildew around the showers, and water damage on the ceilings. I am truly disappointed that we spent so much and drove 10 hours for a nice vacation with our kids (we only get one a year), and this is the facility we ended up in. The resort looks and sounds great online, but I DO NOT recommend Hibiscus Oceanfront Resort to anyone. Unless you are into spending lots of my eyes just to be disappointed.

Beautiful location, needs work

We enjoyed the roof top deck, pool and location to the beach. The complex was pretty quiet and relaxing. Pools, hot tub, and landscaping were all very well kept. We absolutely loved all the palm trees and beautiful flowers around the complex.

There was no designated parking spot for I306. The window to the unit next door was right on our patio which is a security concern. Especially since the patio door did not lock or have a cross bar. The weather strip on the bottom of the entry door was gone. So there was a huge gap under the door for bugs to crawl in. Also a full size fridge would have made a huge difference. We had no way to store more than one day of food at a time. The unused closet would make a perfect spot for a full size fridge. The little apartment was the perfect size. I just think the space is not used to it full potential.

Nice place and would definitely stay there again.

the unit was impeccable clean and well stocked.

The only bad part was that there are no elevators. However, the top floor had the best ocean view. Had to take the good with the bad.

we thought we would have an ocean view we could actually see but we couldnt see it. I paid extra for that when I couldve got the same view without paying the extra money waste of my money it was very deceitful what they did.

Decent amounnt of space.

Rather sparsely decorated in main living area with little space for dining table. Most definitely not ocean facing, and in fact its 1st floor unit with windows and patio facing the street and parking lot. Very few plates, glasses and utensils; basically enough for one meal for 4 before having to wash dishes. Wierd jacuzzi tub right next to quees bed in one bedroom, made for awkward navigating to bathroom in the night. Entire condo facility looked like it was used hard and put up wet, a bit rundown.
