Friendly staff and great vibe

Arrived at 14h00 but room was only available and keys handed at 15h00. Waited in foyer with luggage for an hour Shower did not work. They were unable to resolve. Had to use the tub The TV did not work either

Barney's Restaurant Gold Reef theme park...POOR Service

The hotel and theme park were exceptional...it was comfortable and great entertainment for the entire family

Barney's restaurant was a real downer. The breakfast was not up to standard. Waited 20minutes for eggs to arrive for breakfast. The person manning the egg station said they had run out of eggs and this was at 8.30am. We ordered burgers which was supposed to have Halloumi cheese on them...but they substituted haloumi with feta without any notification. We called the chef to complain and he says they have not had halloumi for the last 3 months . Said they can not get stock...shockingly lame excuse. They should then remove this item from the menu or advise customers in advance that they do not have it. Overall the restaurant has poor service with not very friendly staff as well. It's a pity as they give a poor reflection to the hotel being their breakfast partner.

Gold reef city the place to be

Everything about gold reef city theme park was awesome. The staff were exceptional. Very helpful and always a smile. The services were brilliant.

There is nothing not to like or love at Gold reef city. Everything is just awesome

location

The hotel is busy, dont expect any attention since they will be concentrating on next customer instead of solving your problem to the end. The hotel and booking.com mixed my room, i was given wrong rooms, upon the advice of the hotel to cancel 1room so that they rectify the mistake, booking.com didn't bother to waive the refund. The staff tried calling them later they gave up telling me there's nothing they can do, i lost my payment and the room. Anyway the assistant manager Tshidi has better service than the hotel manager Simphiwe, his priorities is to push the que. if he did had concentrated while checking in the mistake wouldn't have happened. please take time in assisting customers

It was really nice my husband and I had a wonderful time it was super special will come back

It was amazing wish the bacon was cooked alittle different as it was dry ... other then that it was amazing

The small bar fridges in the room wish it made items cold ... nothing worse then coming back from being in the sun all day and you all excited about the water you put in the fridge but the water in the tap is colder then the one in the bar fridge
