Very good

Great location and a quirky interesting place to stay with a great restaurant attached.

Great decor in the breakfast room Hadn't realised there was a very good Indian Restaurant downstairs -so an added bonus

Great location and comfortable bed. Very friendly staff and really good breakfast.

Tiles in bathroom very old and stained on one wall. Noise proofing between rooms/stairs not great. Builders were on scaffolding outside our room when we arrived.

Superb

Anna was a happy breath of fresh air from start to finish! Top helpful from ordering a taxi to helping us with drinks from the resturant late on. We stayed in the Cathedral View room one of the attic rooms. My bf is 6ft 6in and the ceiling height was fine. We even looked to buy one of the mattresses like the one we slept on but the manufacturer has stopped making them! The bed was THAT cosy

Warm, welcoming and cant wait to return

Fantastic location in walking distance of the city, the manager was exceptionally helpful and the friendly welcome was a great start to the stay. We utilised the on site restaurant and it didnt disappoint either. The room was easily accessible on the ground floor and had great views of the cathedral, it was warm and comfortable.

Very genial and firendly staff. Wonderful Indian restaurant adjacent. Large windows with good prospects

Quality of bedding was not at all up to standard; carpets were stained and lamps and table dusty; pillow cases were not very clean and were well worn. Bathroom impossible to heat adequately; room heating was turned off for long periods which was most uncomfortable for those who get up early or work late at night. Wallpaper and paint scuffed and chipped in the room.

Another lovely stay at Farnley Tower - we will be back!

We love the location near to a lovely river walk into the centre of Durham. Spacious rooms and always clean. The staff are welcoming and accommodating and very doggy friendly. The food in the Indian restaurant attached is superb.

A great nights sleep in a lovely property.

A lovely property. The manager was friendly on arrival and at breakfast. A great choice at breakfast. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. We had a great nights sleep!
