Overall, the reviews for Echor - The Alpine Crest are mixed. Some guests feel that the property needs more attention and cleanliness could be improved. However, the close proximity to the Kalpa monas (Read More)tery and temple is an advantage, and the views from the balcony are astounding. The location is also convenient for nearby activities and has a good view of the Kinnaur Kailash. The view is great but the lack of heating and running water make it difficult to stay here.

The location is excellent. You have a great view of the Kinner Kailash mountains.

We arrived at 7 pm and were told only after our arrival that there was no running water available in the hotel. They provided us with buckets of water and a make-shift immersion rod to heat the water for use. This worked only for one night as the immersion rod stopped working the next day and also there was no electricity even if it were working. This was in -7 degrees celcius. We cut our trip short because it was unbearably cold due to lack of a heater (no electricity, even though they have a generator). Also, they charge Rs. 350 a day for use of the heater. In winter. Absolutely atrocious.

View wise good staff and facility type the worst. Theyre spoiling echor standarads.

The view was good. But the staff running the property are not great. Young boys uneducated who dont care at all about their guests.

Parking and staff. It is so difficult to park there. Also the staff doesnt help you at all with picking your bags and other stuff. I was travelling with senior citizens and I told the staff in advance that Ill be checking out at 6 am yet no one came to help with the bags as they were drunk and sleeping.

Some of the staff was very helpful, one in particular was almost rude though.

View was spectacular

The room could have been a lot cleaner, as well as the flasks they used to give hot water. It was also difficult to find as google maps kept trying to take a short cut that did not exist. Best to get location from hotel. And then remember to turn at hotel white nest

The place was neither fully equipped with basics but the hotel also hosted a bunch of hooligans who didnt sleep until 2 and were drunk and loud.

Plesent stay with beautiful views of snow capped mountains

Location is extremely good. Family room was spacious (2 interconnecting rooms). It snowed a little on the night... was too cold into (-ve) Celsius. View from the room is a zillion dollers

Bed, lenin and quilt need proper cleaning /care. It was passable at best. Interiors are old and room passable.

Pleasant

Only stay in the 2nd floor cottages.

I stayed at the Family Room, which was in the ground floor, just beside the main reception with hardly any FAMILY PRIVACY. Its very annoying. In the morning the toilet got filled up with dirty and filthy water coming from kitchen. Its pathetic. However the staff are very courteous and loved the food, cooked in home-style. The best part of the resort was the location and the panoramic view from the 2nd floor balcony. ITS AWESOME. It heals your grievances.
