Staff was friendly and the location was amazing with the sea view.

unfortunately, the pool we had in preference was empty so we couldnt use it. otherwise, the hotel offered us a discount after we left. breakfast wasnt that nice, there werent any choice, portions were small and we had to wait for a long time to have it

Very very outdated, pool wasnt working and it was like a ghost town. the double bed was 2 beds pushed together which wasnt comfortable

The private beach was amazing. Staff was helpful finding transport

Although the rooms were specious the property is not finished. I would afford that before expanding what is already there should have been brought up to good standards but that wasnt the case. The fittings for the lights and the fan were bare wires and frankly quite dangerous as that included the bathroom. Also as ridiculous as it sound there was no cold water and I really struggled to have hot shower after being on the sun all day and wanting to cool down. The swimming pool was not in use although when I looked for hotels this was one of my criteria. We were told that they are waiting on a spare part but when I read previous reviews it appears that even when the pool was accessible it was still in a poor state. I also found the owner quite invasive of our privacy. I am sure he had good intentions but it felt like he was in our face all the time and rearranging some of our plans. There were stray dogs on the beach that didnt bother anyone. This is Sri Lanka and dogs are everywhere. Some of the builders were throwing stones at them for no reason just fun. The hotel staff were not very tolerant of the dogs either. Very poor impression all around. Location is quite remote from Hikkadwa so be prepared to travel to town where all the restaurants and bars are.

The location.Directly onto the private beach.

The wedding parties that went on till 3.am . Birthday party's with live singer till the early hours. Shabby and tired needs refurbishing. Dirty kitchen. Dirty downstairs bathroom in fact disgusting. Pool not cleaned on a daily basis with no chlorine added. Electrics unsafe. No lift. Hotel rubbish being burnt at the beach entrance to the hotel, often with bottles that constantly exploded. Mattress stained and looked like it had been eaten by an animal of sorts. Pillows hard and dirty.
