Lovely little vacation villa!!!

The villa was a very good size and the rooms and kitchen plus living area were perfect for our trip. The owner was amazing. it felt like we had our own private tuk tuk chauffeur for our trip. Small fee 0f 500ruppees each way to the beach meant location was not an issue

No swimming pool. Bit this is being added for next season, so I will make it a 10/10. Mosquitos. There were loads when we arrived and spent a while to clear them.

Coastal house is a hidden gem in Mirissa. It is located in a quiet street with local friendly neighbors living around which allows you to experience some Sri Lankan culture and hospitality which you don't really get in overcrowded touristic centers. It is 150m away from the sea with a diving center nearby and just a 5min tuk-tuk drive to Mirissa's center (Mirissa beach, Coconut hill, Cargills Food City for groceries, wine store, restaurants etc.). The villa is very clean, nice and convenient which honestly exceeded our expectations. It is very comfortable, with 3 rooms with king-size beds equipped with ACs, 2 bathrooms with showers, an equiped kitchen (including a washing machine) and living room. It is also fully gated (which is perfect if you have little kids) and has a nice cozy little garden/terrace which my wife, son and I particularly enjoyed in the evening after the beach. It also has a backyard. Regarding the owner, I would particularly like to thank the owner Kavindu who is a very decent, friendly and hospitable gentleman. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and made sure we have everything we need. Not to mention that he owns a tuk-tuk, so you can call him and he will pick you up and drive you anywhere you want. Long story short, the provided service was top-notch. To be honest, we were hesitant at first to book this location since it ddnt have any review. But now we are glad that we did, we loved the Coastal House and Kavindu is really dedicated to provide high-quality service. I definitely recommend this place.

Maybe just add an extra light in the kitchen to make it brighter at night (during the day, you can just open the door to the backyard). But it is really nothing significant to the overall positive experience, I still give this place a solid 10.
