The best hostel in Cat Ba

Everything, the staff is really friendly and helpful. They gave me a thicker blanket when the weather got colder. The rooms were clean everyday, breakfast was good and overall the instalations are pretty good. Really lovely people who run this place.

This is a great hostel! Each dorm bed has a light, a fan and a plug for your charger. My dorm room had an incredible view. Hostel supplies a locker that opens with your key card. Great buffet breakfast! Staff are very friendly and helpful. They can arrange tours and buses to all manner of destinations!

The location is away (<2km - easily walkable) from the waterfront, but I found it better because of that: nice and more secluded view than in town. The hotel can sometimes arrange free transportation back if you and your group want to go party downtown anyway, just ask the staff, they are always ready to help!

Just a minor inconvenience: the lockers are outside of the dorms

Nice chilled atmosphere. The room was quirky, comfortable and clean. Comfy bed. Had a lovely meal on the 1st evening. Staff friendly and helpful.

Warm and welcoming stay

The staff were incredibly friendly, always smiling, greeting you and willing to help. It's not too far out of town but do need a scooter to get around. Beautiful views and nice to lounge outside and enjoy the scenery.

Was difficult to sleep due to lots of noises from roosters, ducks, music, rats/squirrels in the walls (especially in the bungalow style accomodations) and people talking in the courtyard until late at night. Restaurant on site was meh.

Nice, clean and quiet homestay

Very clean room, friendly staff. The absolute highlight is the bar, where they make absolutely fresh cocktails and smoothies. The made it possible that we could stay 2 more days even though the double rooms were booked. We got a whole dorm for us.

Staff could improve their English skills a little. Some of them didnt understand a lot English. Get some qualitative better speakers and play some good music. When we got there it was terrible. Sometimes there was music in the evening, a few minutes later it was gone. And in the morning the music was way too loud.

Just fine, could be better.

Beautiful pool area, very sweet dogs, and a variety of breakfast options.

Rooms are outdated, bed really uncomfortable, bedside lamp and fan were broken, and the hostel is a bit far out of town (about a 30 min walk).

Come meet Tiger the most gentle dog on earth

The staff : difficult to communicate with sometimes but very arranging and kind! The location : smimming pool and lodges / calm and quiet / 30mn away from the busy center

No spot to cook or drink coffee/tea freely
