Cosy family business

Its very cosy and there is a sense of community between the guests. We came around 11PM 2 days before christmas and were received by the family. We have received another room free of charge because there were no rooms with 2 separate beds.

The rooms were a little cold, but we got heaters. There is no phone service in the building and the WiFi is only in the lobby.

Location close to a nature reserve and great hiking there

The rooms were dimly lit. The ventilation was poor so there was damp. We asked for an early breakfast to get away at 8.30am but despite a reminder the night before, breakfast was only ready at its usual time 8.30 am..

Memorable stay; good experience

Sublime quietness and inexplicable peace in the area. Rooms were memorable, and as if going back in-time with tasteful enhancements and upgrades, including fireplace (+wood) and gas heater (if needed). At night you can see the sky with virtually no light pollution. I will stay here again for more than 1 day next time.

Nothing; there is limited cell coverage as it is remote. The internet is also not very fast; you should not come here if you want to work remotely as this is meant to be more of an escape from the hustle/bustle.

Very good

calm and unique place with good and not overcrowded hiking options

Very calm and unique place. From the property there is very nice 5km(one way) hiking option via Pine forest to the Chinyero volcanic zone. The property is basically located in some authentic stone-built mini-village. Dinner is possible at place as well. Fireplace is available inside the apartment, which is really nice for the eyes in the evening after a long hike.

WiFi only works in the Breakfast/Dinner area only, inside the apartment it doesn't work. This was not a problem for us, but the shower is mostly cold only, could be tricky with small child.
