Lovely stay in a nature based boutique hotel

Lovely boutique hotel with natural charm. Slightly off the main road so was surprisingly quiet which was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was very tidy. Good location to local eats and just a 15 minute walk for us to our dive centre in town. The staff were also very helpful with great suggestions for food, taxi and massage services. Lovely cafe and food as well! Would definitely stay again!

Unexpectedly charming and well-connected to the main points of interest in the island

the owner was extremely nice the hotel surroundings are very green, it feels like you are in a garden design was slick, clean and everything very tastefully made and decorated (especially comparing to what's offered in Koh Tao) studio flat was excellent: plenty of windows giving access to the greenery nearby (quite beautiful), very good sq footage, balcony was a nice plus, bathroom is spacious bonus: the clothing store in the premises is also quite good

(minor details) in the studio, the position of the television was not the most comfortable to watch from bed no international channels, only smart tv apps the hotel did not have its own restaurant, hang out areas nor salons, so you don't interact with other guests (which can be good for some), so the hotel is pretty much for resting only

An absolute gem of a place. The room was lovely and the bed was enormous and so comfy. Excellent pillows too (something many hotels seem to not get right!) The staff were incredible, so welcoming and friendly. I loved my time at Big Tree, every last detail was thought through. The shower was excellent, really powerful and the toiletries were made in Koh Tao with natural ingredients, again, just the little extra touches that show you the people who run Big Tree have thought of everything!

The staff were great. Very welcoming and gave great recommendations of things to do and places to eat.

The location was a bit far out from other hot spots in the island and taxis are costly throughout the Island. 300 baht wherever you are going each way. There was a lot of ants in our bathroom throughout our stay.

Beautiful unique hotel

Welcoming staff that endevours to make the stay as great as possible. The whole resort has an unique flair, starting with the lovely furnished room over the outdoor area and the nice coffeeshop. Used bike rental at the hotel which worked out great.

Nothing out of the ordinary,

The location of the hotel is very nice, close to the pier (10-12 mins on foot). They can also assist you in renting a scooter to make your life easier going around the island. The room was clean and it is very nice that the hotel also provides beach towels to use.

The staircase to the upper floor is very narrow making it difficult to carry a suitcase. Also, the price you see in booking is not the actual price you pay. You are asked to pay in advance via a bank transfer that charges 3% extra. Keep that in mind before booking.

Staffs are flexible an very friendly

Location, the view of the corridor is unpleasant with construction going on with noise and construction waste. Noise stops from the evening though, so doesn't really impact. The shower water takes long time to warm up and stay unstable
