Bayview Hill Resort

We booked one of the suites and got another room when we checked in. The staff didn't say anything until we came back and asked. Then they said we could move to our right room the morning after. Because it was other guests staying in "our" room because their original room was too small for them. The receptionist also said it didn't matter because the price was the same. We chose to book the suite because of the size and it looked cleaner than other room types. He said we could change in the morning but we gave them some more time and came to the reception at 11 the day after. Then he said we needed to wait more because the other guests hadn't checked out yet. We were on our way to go to the other side of the island and we already carried our bags up to the reception. We waited for a while but couldn't wait longer. So they helped us to put the bags in our new room when it was done. The suite was a lot better and cleaner than the other room but still was not near our expectations. It was also the most expensive and worst hotel we stayed at on our Thailand trip for a month, we where sopose to stay for 5 night but stayed only 2. The location of Bayview is quite far from everything. The hotel had a "taxi" ready so you could go wherever you wanted, during the day you could call to get a ride home as well which was appreciated. When we checked out the guy in the reception said we needed to pay for the taxi. They never said anything about an extra charge for that. And we thought it was included because the hotel was so far from everything else. We had some big animals running on our roof the first night in the suite that woke us up multiply times. It was so loud and sounded like animals big as cats. The day after the staff told us it was rats and laughed. We left our room to go to the beach on the other side of the island in the morning, after that we booked a new hotel on walking street for less than half of the price and much cleaner.

Everything about this place is perfect! the kindest most welcoming staff, the lady on reception is so sweet and helped us get washing done for a great price that was delivered back to our room folded. The on site what we assume handy man drove us into town every night and carried our bags to and from our room, we loved him so much we had to get a photo with him at the end! the resort its self has an incredible view over Lipe and the sunset at the beach is brilliant to watch with a drink in hand at the bar which is also full of friendly faces. The rooms have both fans and air con so we could choose what we wanted to use. Water, toilet roll, towels and fresh bedding were provided everyday. The place itself is stunning and a 10/10 but the staff truly make the place even better. Cannot recommend a stay enough! we will be back to not only our favourite island but favourite resort!
