The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel's location was convenient for exploring the city and dining in Braddon. Very disappointing experience.

Didnt get a chance to stay there

Had to cancel my booking the morning of the stay due to bad storms and I couldnt get to Canberra. I was charged the accommodation costs as I didnt give 24 hours notice due to an act of God. Very disappointing given that I was a repeat customer. I didnt even get the opportunity to postpone.

Nice comfortable bed for a work trip to Canberra, buffet breakfast was good although the waffles were very floury.

I liked the beds were super comfortable and the place was quite modern.

That they werent able to accomodate 2 single beds but the rollout bed they did offer on top of the room upgrade sufficed we just had to play rock paper scissors to see who got the nice room.

Very good

The Avenue Hotel is an impressive Hotel, conveniently located and well presented.

The location, presentation of the room and car parking were convenient and fantastic. The location to food and the CBD are key to my stays in Canberra and suite with separate room, perfect for work and rest. I was especially impressed with the low cost parking, please don't get greedy with this! It's a winner.

The only criticism I had was the staff engagement. Staff were nice enough, however you are in the Service Industry and I felt more like a burden to them, rather than a guest. Don't like fake niceness, however presenting options rather than just saying no, clearly not understanding processes and not making eye contact really detracted from the stay. These things can make the different to returning or not. The bed was very+++++ soft and not comfortable.
