Very good
First time staying there and I look forward to the next.
Staff were great. Beds were comfy, fridge in the room, easy access to downtown Van. Free breakfast and free parking are an excellent bonus. I slept on the street side which wasn't even that loud.
Hallways were a bit cold, but with a giant atrium in the middle of the hotel, its pretty hard to keep everything warm. Rooms were warm, quiet and comfy.

I'm TIRED
It was comfortable until someone started up a saw on the floor above us at 8 am. The front desk didn't seem to care and just told us they had renovations going on.
The sound of a saw at 8 am. A parking garage that was too small to fit my vehicle. Staff who didn't care that we couldn't sleep due to renovations directly above us.

we received a free upgrade, and breakfast was very good, christmas decorations welcoming guests brought christmas spirit on.
the facilities need upgrading to stay at the very-good to luxury tier level. More care needs to be allocated to window covering cleaning

I saw bugs in the bathroom and carpet was so old I even couldn't walk on it ..was so dirty they even didn't provide any temporary slippers
