Fantastic Hotel Resort but pricey

Spa and catering was excellent. The rooms are very luxurious.

The prices were extremely high - even for 5* in Sri Lanka. My advice is to try and build all meals into room rate and if you like a glass of wine - take it with you! I also found the staff overly attentive. I understand this is sometimes a personal preference..

Breakfast was standard good not outstanding . However the dinner buffet was average for the Anantara.

The quality of food and dishes on offer on the dinner buffet was average and not well presented. Although the super nice staff tried their best to assist.

Good place, polite and very nice staff. but it is too expensive for their value

Property is nice. Staff is very polite.

There wasnt available free spa zones like steam room, sauna. Just massages for additional charge. Too much expensive for room and for food inside. It is comparable with seashells by price, but not with facilities and quality.

Food Service The grounds Rooms (beds so comfy) Staff: Yashani de alwis was incredible and amazing rep. Looked after us the whole trip. She can make anything happen. Someone you can count and rely on. Irshad in the main catering for breakfast and dinner was so friendly, always checked on us to make sure the food was good and if we needed anything. Very helpful and friendly. Overall staff service here is brilliant alaays welcoming and checking up on you to make sure everything is okay and if you need anything. Room service x2 a day very luxurious service from staff.

On the resort everything is so expensive, some things almost extortiante pricing.. for the rich maybe. We found ourselves having dinner off site sometimes for same quality but so much cheaper! (Actually a lot cheaper!). I know sri lanka recovering from economic crisis so happy to help but even after that some of the price markups on food and things to do was way more than wed even expect in the UK or Dubai! Maybe management review there pricing in order to attract more variety of tourists.
