Beautiful hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at Ama-Lurra Resort. It is in a beautiful location, with private, spacious villas with private pools. The gardens were beautiful, the staff incredibly friendly (a big shout out to Hani who was the most helpful and nicest staff member!), and the villas great value for money.

The breakfast wasn't great and we ended up eating elsewhere despite having breakfast included in our price.

Charming & comforatble place. Great for Sunsets.

We stayed in a Pool Villa, Comfortable and as pictured and described on this site. Great location for sunsets :) Dining with your feet in the beach sand is an option if that is your thing (we did). Quirky Boat Bar with great cocktails (Pina Colda & Mojito) and happy hour :) We are not big eaters in the heat an the food portions and quality were more than enough for us. BBQ/Grilled dinner avaialble (I had a surprisingly good steak one night), Fresh Seafood & Vegatables available. Good staff service (Thanks Fendi, Devin & Hunni). Good communication prior to arrival, we extended our stay directly with them. We loved our stay and didn't need to venture more than 10 minutes walk from the property for any other dining/bar/supplies/Scuba Diving & cooking class options. Gili Air Divers just next door if you dive or would like to try (we Dived as we are both AOW). Also recommended.

Maybe tyring to punch a little above it's class, but I would recommend and stay again. Pool Villa(s) could use a bit more shade, we stayed in Sept/Oct and it was quite hot (~35oC ). The solar panel inverter in the villa did not appear to be supplying power?

I liked the room with our own pool, the wonderful staff, cold cloth and cold refreshing drink, while checking in, the location quieter area of island

Could have done with ceiling fan in bathroom got pretty warm in there, also another chair in room at table, so we could have both sat there to eat breakfast as it had rained outside, there was some construction noise early in morning in cooler part of day, making it not so peaceful, no ones fault there, just progress,

AMAZING. If I could give this an 11 I would. The villa was amazing, the pool was fantastic - a great size. Everything was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The staff are so attentive and friendly. We had an amazing stay here.

Generally great but way too much chlorine :(

Friendly staff, huge breakfast, right In front of the beach. Great AC in the rooms helped us survive the heat! We stayed there for our honeymoon and they surprised us with a slice of cake to celebrate!

Way too much chlorine in the private pool. After swimming only once in it, our hair was completely dry and damaged (more than ever before), and we had irritated skin. Unfortunately this meant we couldn't use the pool and that was the whole point of booking a villa at Ama-Lurra... Also, the hotel is a little tricky to find, their office is out in the open with no clearly-visible sign.

Wi deregulation relaxed stay, loved being on the beach and having own pool to cool off in.

Private pool, loved having breakfast on the beach.

Air conditioning is only able to be turned on when you are in the unit. Struggles to keep the room as cool as most hotels who have the aircon on 24/7.

Nice hotel on beach with great food and private villa

The location was great - right on the beach and walkable to other places. The food was really good and there were a lot of options.

I didn't like that they only gave you one room key, basically so you couldn't keep on the air con when you were out of the room, so when you went back in the room you had to wait for the air con to cool down the room and it was incredibly hot. It didn't make it super comfortable for us. Also, the bathroom is an outdoor bathroom so bugs/mosquitos/spiders can get in. one day the house keeping left the door between the bedroom and bathroom wide open so when we came back there were bugs in the room.

Absolutely amazing!

We had a phenomenal stay here - the villa was beautiful, the staff were so helpful and kind, and the breakfast delicious - all outstanding and exceeded our expectations. A special shoutout to Hani - a ray of sunshine! Thank you for making our stay so special. We hope to visit again soon! Note: The location is in the North West of the Island, a lovely quiet spot. We had friends stay elsewhere and were woken up daily at 4:30am from the prayers. We didn't hear a thing!

Breakfast is from 8am - 11am. We got up early a few days to go snorkelling - we requested breakfast to be at 7am those days, which was never an issue. Might be good to start brekkie a little earlier, as most people will do early morning activities at some point in their trip

Wonderful staff and great overall experience at a very luxurious villa, located at a beautiful and quiet part of the isl

Hani and her staff were extremely kind; always greeted us with a smile and helped us out with arranging anything we needed. 10/10 service and an unforgettable experience. The private villas are very luxurious and are cleaned thoroughly daily; great value for money. They are located at a nice and quiet location on the island, but close enough to restaurants, bars etc. In addition, the possibility to have breakfast at the beach, which is at high-tide in the morning, was a wonderful experience

Although the daily cleaning service was immaculate, the villa we stayed in could use a little bit of maintenance: The doors to the villa itself could not be locked, even though it seemed this used to be possible in the past. There is a main door which provides entry to the garden of the villa, which could be locked, so the villa door is no major problem, but the villa walls are not that high. In addition, the door between the bedroom and bathroom could not be entirely closed, which is not ideal for preventing mosquitoes to enter the bedroom, as the bathroom is open (no glass windows). The toilet and bathroom drainage was a little bit smelly, not sure if this can be solved on the island, but this was not ideal. Finally, the pool cleaning system did not work too well. All in all these minor issues did not affect the overall experience and we highly recommend anyone to stay here!!
