The best in Lucca

A hotel with character, all the decoration and utensils are very tasteful. Comfortable and spacious room, very good bed and pillows; bathroom too. Very good breakfast. Wi-Fi fully working. Fabrizio and his colleagues are extremely helpful and kind. The best option in Lucca, I presume.

A nice friendly jewel in the center of Lucca

The Albergo San Martino is a real jewel and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed it a lot - also our little daughter was very happy and the staff was just great with her running around all over the place. The location is great - easy to reach by car and close to the center and the wall to explore Lucca by foot. Our room was clean and neat and we are looking forward to return to Luca and the Albergo San Martino.

Claudia was very understanding and helpful. But we were disappointed with our room.

Claudia was very helpful and saw that we were disappointed with our room - it wasn't in the main hotel and was not what we saw online. She suggested we might want to move and gave us 2 possibilities - one which we moved to for the following nights. The breakfast was very good. If booking, make sure you book/stay in the main hotel, not around the corner.

The room we were offered was not what we had expected or what we had seen online. We had expected one of the "orange" rooms.

The directions to the property were very helpful, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is superb for exploring the old town and has nearby parking.

Ideal location

Comfortable, clean and spacious room. Excellent breakfast choices and very helpful staff. We were also able to store our luggage for free at the hotel when we arrived early and also on the day of check-out when we decided to take a quick day-trip to Pisa. The location is ideal - inside the historical center, very close to the walls of Lucca where you can enjoy a peaceful walk on the promenade, and an easy walking distance to all sights of Lucca. We stayed in the triple room - a very spacious unit with a double bed in one room and a single bed in another room which is part of the same triple room unit. The AC was not very effective in the room with the double bed but since we were staying for only one night, we didn't bring it up. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
