Just a ok hotel.

The location is excellent, very close to the square (Piazza Gramsci), where buses arrive and depart (the train station is very far from the historic center of Siena). Siena is a very beautiful city.

The room was noisy, you could hear other guests talking in the hallway and slamming doors. The breakfast, served in a beautiful room, is just ok, with few options, or poor quality options, and with replacement problems (the hotel was not full).

Fine hotel in Siena

Located in a former palazzo, Albergo Chiusarelli is a fine hotel in Siena. It is close to the historic centre, and to the main bus station. I booked a large single room but was upgraded to a double, on the second floor, room no 28. The room is large and was kept very clean throughout my stay, so was the bathroom which was recently renovated in a very elegant way. Towels were fluffy, of good quality. The mini-fridge proved useful. Heating was plentiful and adjustable from the room. Breakfast was varied and of good quality. I extended my stay for another night and was promptly given the same rate. Renovation was taking place on the first floor, but it did not affect me as I left in the morning and returned in the evening. Siena is a splendid Italian medieval town thats worth at least a two-night stay, and Albergo Chiusarelli is a cosy, useful residence for any tourist.

There were no vegetables at breakfast. TV was very small. There is no lift (given its a historic building), which may be inconvenient for some people, as floors are high (25 steps/ floor, roughly). Also note breakfast is served in the basement, so there are three floor to climb to the second floor from there. The personnel at the reception could smile more and be more accommodating, it does not cost anything.

Short but sweet

I loved the location. It's close to everything and there's no hill to climb to get to the centre. I thought it's going to be a problem to get a parking space because the garage from the hotel was full, but there are a lot of spaces around the stadium.

Great stay at Chusarelli

Plentiful breakfast provided in a nice dining room. Assortment of cooked and continental items were available. Well appointed quiet room and bathroom made for a comfortable 2 night stay. Within a few minutes walk of the main historic area of Siena with two large car parks nearby. The staff were friendly and attentive.

More assortment of tea and coffee in the room.
