Very poor

We booked 3 nights over New Years. Paid a premium for our stay. When we checked in, the reception staff was polite, courteous. However, when we went to our rooms, shock and disappointment hit us. The rooms were worse than Travelodge. You dont book a 5 star hotel expecting a Travelodge style rooms. I work in the Travel industry and know and understand the expected standards very well. The only positive was the staff understood our disppointed and fully refunded us. We didnt stay and were left to find a place to stay on New Year day. The hotel is worn out and is not what one expects of Meridien group. Needs TLC.

Money paid for the value of works is not compareble.

The location of the hotel is fine and easy to approach station .

Total stay was shattered and no value for the money. Services was very poor . When you call there was no staff to respond . Rooms are provided with limited water of 2 x 250ml bottles irrespective of the guests and when you ask more they are chargeable . Toiletries are provided with limited again they will not provide until you say there are more guests . AC/ heater was not working and to make a request call . Rooms are very old and to be upgraded .

Generally a lovely hotel, scratch beneath the surface and certainly need some attention as in things not working, damage

Staff lovely, welcoming

Better consistency and management of housekeeping needed. Hotel tired in many areas - bedding with big holes in the sheets, curtains ripped, French/Arabic channels on TV, list of channels provided were not available ( this was only confirmed after 3 visits by maintenance staff). Breakfast food often cold.

Great location. Great Value for money.

Perfect location. Very clean and amazing to be in the centre of everything. Right opposite a mall which is very handy. The concierge Abdelillah was FANTASTIC and highly recommended:-). Breakfast has hot stations and lots of choice.

Rooms were very dated and not updated. Things were falling apart. Bathroom had no anti slip facilities provided. Our complaint re being wrongly charged for our massages wasnt addressed for days The bar had live entertainment but not many people around. Limited snack options.

Between the outstanding breakfast buffet and the lovely gardens, this property is definitely a winner.

This hotel has amazing gardens with beautiful landscaping and a gorgeous pool. All the public areas are nicely decorated and very pleasant. The location is excellent right across from Menara Mall and a short distance to the Medina. I was really impressed with the buffet breakfast included with room. It was extremely varied, plentiful and high quality. I would stay at this property just for that alone. Another perk is the free private parking.

Not much to dislike but I wish the room decor was a bit more original and the hallway carpets leading to the rooms need to be changed are at least cleaned.
