Nangal Wetlands, Chandigarh Overview

Nangal is a beautiful small town situated at a distance of 100km from Chandigarh in Punjab. The wetland is bounded by Sutlej River, canals and magnificent hills. It is the main attraction for tourists to this place and with the establishment of the Bhakra Dam on the Sutlej River, the place has gained more popularity. The Nangal lake is a beautiful artificial lake which is 6 Km long shaped by the Nangal dam. About 40,000 migratory birds fly here in winters and this lake is a heavenly paradise for bird lovers.
