To begin with, it’s a privilege to write a review about our trip to Sri Lanka with the Dilra Tours, someone we had never heard before. The previous travel company with whom we had travelled just four (Read More)months ago recommended Dilra Tours as they were excellent in handling the Sri Lankan Package. (Dilra Team lived up to the recommendation and reputation).
As a family, it took us some time to come to a conclusion whether to go ahead with Dilra Tours or not, for a simple reason i.e. Dilra Tours is based in Sri Lanka (Colombo) and communicating with a team based in a foreign country was like taking chances.
We had a lengthy list of questions seeking clarifications from the Dilra Tours. Mr. Rachitha, the Director of the company, spared his precious time answering all our questions and cleared every doubt we had.
The Dilra team was excellent in communicating with us at every step. Friendly and helpful, especially Mr. Rachitha who personally supervised and chalked out the itinerary keeping in mind my mother’s age (80 years old).
We travelled from Colombo to Kandy and other places, literally stayed in five hotels in the span of eight days. The hotels were good, the staff was extremely helpful, friendly and made us feel comfortable and at home. The food was good.
The pick-up was always on time. Something very difficult to believe. The guide cum chauffer Mr. Terik was more like our family member. Extremely good human being and a very helpful person.
The Dilra team handled the airport transfers, the allotment of our rooms in a very professional manner. It provided us with what they promised. It was every bit worth of money.
The Dilra team needs to be credited for its seamless management due to which our trip was extremely smooth, convenient, satisfying and comfortable. It’s the personal touch of Mr. Rachitha and Mr. Terik that made us feel so safe and reliable. Thanks once again to both of them.
I will certainly recommend Dilra Tours to those travelling to Sri Lanka.

I am satisfied with the trip. Friendly and well informed drivers. I regret that I did not book 4 stars hotels; some of the 3 stars hotels were not so good.

Dilra Tours was AMAZING from start to finish in the planning our perfect vacation to Sri Lanka. When starting the planning process, they listened! We explained our desires for what areas we wanted to (Read More) visit, the types of activities that we wanted to incorporate into our vacation, and our accommodation needs. They gave us very helpful recommendations and suggestions followed by the creation of an initial itinerary for us to review. They were always patient, very pleasant, available, and quickly responded to our numerous questions both by email and WhatsApp. They sent both printed information as well as web links for us to review suggested activities, hotels, and regions of the country that we were to visit. After several weeks of making some adjustments, we solidified and finalized our itinerary. Traveling, especially internationally can be stressful. Dilra Tours made everything so easy and stress free. They arranged all of our hotels, activities, transportation, and even our breakfast, lunch & dinner. All we had to do was show up. We had greeters at the airport, individuals to help us with our luggage, and drivers to our hotels as well as to and from all of our activities. They had a day by day itinerary printed for us so we knew where we were going, what time we were being picked up, and what we needed to bring/wear for each activity. Everyone that they contracted with were professional, pleasant, and dependable. This included the drivers as well as the sites for our activities. The hotels were amazing! All of our activities were amazing. Individuals from our travel agency checked in with us throughout our vacation to ensure we were doing well. This was the most perfect and memorable vacation and we have Dilra Tours to thank for that. I would recommend them to everybody without hesitation. I am very appreciative for their time and really feel as if they treated our vacation as if they were planning it for their own family.

We took a one week tour with Dilra and came back extremely pleased.The driver-guide Anuruddha was excellent company and a superb driver. Hotels all nice and the sites chosen excellent.
At the end Rac (Read More)hitha and his associate surprised us with a lovely surprise and some reimbursment for unused activities.

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the incredible experience while exploring Sri Lanka with DILRA TOURS especially with Rachi?. The tour was well-organized, and we appreciated the s (Read More)mooth logistics throughout the trip. From transportation arrangements to accommodation bookings, everything was handled efficiently, allowing us to focus on enjoying our time in each location.
We commenced our journey with The Temple of the Tooth Relic which was a highlight, offering a glimpse into Sri Lanka's spiritual heritage. The scenic beauty around Kandy Lake and the lush greenery added to the overall charm of the city.
The serene beaches of Bentota were truly mesmerizing. Bentota River Safari was a unique experience, allowing us to observe the picturesque mangroves, some pretty good fish pedicure? ? and some refreshing coconut water??.
Nuwara Eliya's cool climate and stunning landscapes were a refreshing change.
Not to forget the vibrant Galle face park in Colombo city and the magnificent Lotus tower that has left a lasting impression on us.
Rachi's friendly and approachable demeanor made us feel comfortable and engaged throughout the tour.
Overall, we had a wonderful time exploring these beautiful destinations. Thank you for your efforts in making our trip memorable and would not hesitate to recommend your services to others planning a visit.

"Rachitha and the team at Dilra Tours orchestrated an exceptional 6-day tour of Sri Lanka that exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Nuwan, was incredibly hospitable, catering to our every need with p (Read More)atience and warmth, making us feel right at home. Despite limited food choices, Nuwan went above and beyond to ensure we dined at the best possible spots.
Our journey through Sri Lanka evoked memories of our home in Kerala, with its lush greenery, rain, and majestic elephants. From the moment we landed, the itinerary was meticulously planned. We kicked off with a mesmerizing safari at Sigiriya, witnessing elephants in their natural habitat, followed by the awe-inspiring UNESCO World Heritage site, Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress, where we conquered over 1200 steps to reach the top.
Next, we explored the magnificent Dambulla Cave Temple, home to 157 colorful statues and stunning Buddhist mural paintings. In Kandy, we visited the kandy lake, witnessed the craftsmanship of gemstone cutting and jewelry making, and the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic. The cultural dancing and fire dance show was also a unique local experience.
At Nuwara Eliya we covered the Gregory Lake Park, charming town, and delightful local strawberry farm. A visit to the Glenloch Tea Factory offered an exciting experience in tea plucking and tasting, leaving us with a lot of tea varieties to gift our family and friends back home.
Bentota was a day filled with a thrilling first time water rafting experience at Kitulgala and serene boat safaris on the Madhu River, including a stop at Cinnamon Island. The Turtle Conservation Project in Kosgoda left a touching impression of the efforts to protect these magnificent creatures.
Our tour ended in Colombo, where we explored the city's iconic landmarks, including the Lotus Tower, convention center and the trade center. Before bidding farewell, Dilra Tours showered us with gifts and goodies to take back. Overall, our journey ended on a high note.

I had the most memorable tour of Srilanka with DILRA Tours, a very comprehensive tour covering the essence of this beautiful country with relaxed 2night stays in all the places namely - Colombo, Sigir (Read More)iya/Dambula/Ponnollaruwa,
Kandy, Nuwara eliya, Mirissa, Galle/Bentota.
We were a family of two couples who had desired to cover srilanka extensively and had contacted Rachita and his wife Dil. They went out of the way to help us plan our trip to fit our budget yet not compromising on the vehicle, hotels, sightseeing with lot of time to relax in comfort. From Day1 Rachita moved with us like a friend and came everywhere guiding us every step of the way. His knowledge of srilankan history made our experience even more richer and we felt at home in his elite company...he was full of humour, had an ever smiling pleasant face and was a good human being.
He had excellent contacts everywhere and arranged everything in a jiffy. He drove safe (bus drivers drive rashly in srilanka)and knew every touristplace, where to eat (we were vegetarians )what to see and took excellent care of us.
Its my opinion if you are lucky to get a good, reliable tour operator at a reasonable price other things fall in place automatically. We had absolutely no problem whatsoever during the tour, thanks to support of Rachita and his wife Dil who offered backoffice support throughout.
We are sure to recommend Dilra Tours to anyone who wishes to see Srilanka in all its glory. Once you book a land package with them you can be rest assured of a memorable time. Just land in Colombo and leave the rest to Dilra.

Embarking on a journey along with my wife through the enchanting landscapes of Sri Lanka with Dilra Tours turned out to be an unforgettable experience, thanks to our remarkable guide, Rachi. From the (Read More)outset, Rachi's meticulous planning and warm welcome at the Colombo airport set the tone for what was to become a splendidly organized trip. The attention to detail was evident as Rachi shared the itinerary, ensuring a smooth transition from the airport pickup to the various destinations we were about to explore.
The spacious and comfortable car provided throughout our journey made travel between locations not just bearable, but pleasurable. Rachi's approach to guiding us was exceptionally hospitable; he treated us more like family members than clients, enriching our trip with his profound knowledge of the places we visited. He adeptly intertwined mythological and archaeological narratives, making historical sites come alive. His assistance in navigating local markets for shopping was invaluable, adding a personal touch to our adventure.
Our first day commenced at the Colombo airport, where Rachi not only greeted us but also facilitated practical necessities such as acquiring a local SIM card and currency exchange. The journey to Kandy included a visit to an Elephant orphanage, offering us a unique and intimate experience with elephants, further enhancing the trip's allure.
The accommodations selected, like the Ceyloni Panorama Hotel in Kandy with its breathtaking mountain views, and the Tea Mount Forest Hotel in Nuwara Eliya, offered splendid hospitality and comfort, adding to the overall enjoyment of our stay. Each location visited, from the Kadugannawa pass to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic and the picturesque Gregory’s Lake Park in Nuwara Eliya, was more than just a stop; it was a memory crafted with care.
Our visit to Bentota was highlighted by our stay at the Laluna Ayurveda Resort, which stood out for its on-site water sports and activities, though we regretfully didn't have time to experience the herbal spa and massage. Rachi's thoughtful surprise for our first anniversary underscored his commitment to personalizing our experience, making us feel celebrated and cherished.
The excursions, including a boat safari on the Madhu River and the exploration of Galle Fort, provided a blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation. The kindness and generosity of the people we met, like the owner of Dinesh Boat Safari and the monks at the Buddhist temple, deeply touched us, showcasing the genuine warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality.
Concluding our journey in Colombo, with sightseeing that included the Vibheesana temple among other sites, we were left with a treasure trove of memories. Dilra Tours, through the exemplary service and dedication of Rachi, has not only provided us with a seamless and enriching travel experience but also a heartfelt connection to the beauty and culture of Sri Lanka.

Excellent tour services, found them on internet and contacted them for a group of friends coming from UK including a honeymoon couple who loves with Sri Lanka beach holidays. Dilra Tours organized the (Read More) best ever beach holidays to Sri Lanka, excellent services, caring and friendly staffs.
