Zur Rennbahn is a cozy and quiet hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. The bathroom is newly renovated and the rooms are comfortable, resembling a flat. However, it is important to avoid noisy n (Read More)eighbors with dogs or smokers who may cough. The breakfast is delicious and the prices for beer and food are reasonable. Overall, the stay at Zur Rennbahn is highly recommended.

You get what you pay for.
The bathroom has been renovated to a very high standard, and the shower was great. The room was cleaned every day, except the day with we stayed in a bit longer in the morning and the cleaning crew skipped cleaning it in protest! The room goes in a heavy rustic country style, but its OK for this price range. The parking facility has plenty of space and the country-like environment is a major plus.
The floor is completely covered by a thick carpet, which unfortunately helps maintain the high humidity level from the nearby Elbe river; it also increases the pungent smell of the mold growing underneath it, all our possessions got the mold odor after leaving the room, my best half had at times difficulties breathing correctly. Removing the carpet and improving the ventilation would help this mold issue.

Dissapointing
After 2 minutes I enter the room I observe the tv was broken, after that I went to the reception and informed them and they said that they will get another tv by tomorrow. In my opinion they schould have checked the room before my arrival that everything is ok, and not to wait until I discover the broken tv, the owner said that they will change the broken tv by next day at evening.
