Villa Fiorita Boutique Hotel

Breakfast was great, very varied and tasty, and breakfast service was very good. The communal areas of the hotel are really beautifully decorated. The communal terrasses and views are great. The pool area is nice. Our private terrasse was big and well equipped. Our room and bathroom were spacious and there was good storage. Location is pretty good, a few minutes walk from the main street and right next to the cable car and bus station. I requested a nice room and was kindly given a room with a great terrasse. Communication with the hotel prior to arriving was good, they were always very responsive.

The duvet was too thin for me. When I asked for an additional one because I was going to be cold at night, the receptionist looked at me like I was crazy. Actually, most of the time, when I asked for (reasonable) things at reception, it felt like I was bothering them. Ive never had that in a 4-star hotel before. The bed wasnt made properly (the sides were never tucked in for some reason, I except on the first day). The room was dusty, not good for people with allergies! The towels were not great quality, they were thin and worn, some were stained. Not really 4-star standards. The room decor was very very basic, not very welcoming or cosy. The hairdryer supplied is stuck to the bathroom wall and not good quality or powerful. The TV is old and kept losing signal on certain channels. It doesnt have any smart functionalities. The AC blows straight onto one side of the bed, so beware if you are sensitive to AC and prone to catching colds overnight. We got a breakfast box to go on our last day as we checked out at 7.30am. Since the on-site breakfast had been great, we had high expectations. But the box only contained a mini muffin, an apple, rusks and some spreads, as well as some water and juice. Very very basic and disappointing, considering the variety offered at breakfast (and the price of the hotel). Cleaning could have been better, it wasnt spotless (the floors and bathroom especially). I asked for an iron and the iron was a bit worn out. As for the board that came with it, it was old and stained The hotel is on the other side of the hill from the rest of Taormina, which means the views are not as great and the hotel and the pool area are in the shade quite early in the day (the pool was in the shade from around 12 oclock at the start of November). Overall, it didnt feel like we received the service of a 4-star hotel, which was really disappointing. I therefore found this hotel to be very poor value and I would not stay there again.

Villa Fiorita is a beautiful Boutique Hotel that is dedicated to make you feel at home. Staff is absolutely amazing! The receptionist are super friendly and extremely helpful with tips for tours and restaurants, the waiters are super sweet and also the rest of the service personal is very nice and helpful. The Hotel has a beautiful view over the coast line and is only 1 min away from the cable car to Isola Vella and 3 min away from Porta Messina. It is at the same time quiet and central - a perfect mix! I loved the design of the place that combines classic Sicilian ceramics with modern light hues and furniture design. The common areas are beautiful (I had several vcs there and my business partner always asked me where I found the beautiful wallpaper - well, no wallpaper, it was Villa Fiorita). The rooms have a clean and modern design which I like very much. The pool area is also very nice for some relaxation after a stroll trough town. We loved the crash orange juice and the pistachio croissants for breakfast!
