City Centre Gem

The apartment was clean, beautiful, comfortable with modern finishes. The kitchen and lounge areas were fully equipped. Everything was as advertised. We were blown away by the quality of the food and coffee from the restaurant, we had all our meals from there as a result (except for the first day when we found out the restaurant closed earlier than we had assumed). The views from the rooftop entertainment area were amazing. The friendliness of staff was evident and appreciated.

The bar and pool entertainment area closed too early for our liking (20h00), and so did the restaurant (20h30). We found the rooftop entertainment area rather tiny for the size of the establishment. We waited too long for breakfast on the first day (about 35 mins), and some orders were mixed up. Meluleki seemed to be having a bad morning and appeared somewhat not attuned or overwhelmed by our frustration. However, he redeemed himself for the remainder of our stay, and we received our meals promptly with no complaints.

Perfect location, great restaurant with a nice weekend vibe!

The location is perfect - we had a rental car so we were happy to be able to park right outside the hotel on the street, which was quite safe, due to the patroling cops and security people. The hotel has their own private parking too, for 100 RAND a day. The vibe on Saturday night was amazing at the hotel's resraurant, with live singers and music until midnight. We didn't feel the need to get out and go anywhere else. They also have a pool and poolside bar which we were unable to visit since we were out all day. The restaurant is great for food - even though our breakfast wasn't included in the package, to have easy access to a meal is really important.

Their restaurant closes early for dinner on weekdays (8 pm) and we struggled a little on one of the days because we arrived at 8.15. Also, the bar closes at 9 pm on weekdays. The streets aren't deemed safe for walking at night so your best bet is to take an Uber to V&A Waterfront where restaurants are open late or order food through UberEats.

The apartment was excellent so clean and very homely. Staff were super friendly. Bar area nice and roof top terrace very comfortable with amazing views. Felt very safe. Would highly recommend.

Kids had a great time. Cleanliness was great. Had everything we needed at our finger tips. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

No phone to call reception when we ran out of milk and tea.

Good value if you are willing to make some compromises.

The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, and the cafe downstairs makes excellent coffee. Great to have the option of opening a window for fresh air instead of only having air-conditioning, althought there is that too, should you prefer. Tons of storage space, good bathroom, and very large shower.

Serious lack of soundproofing - we could literally hear the couple on the other side of the wall having a muffled conversation while lying in bed. Street noise can also be quite hectic with the window open. Lack of parking is also not great, and parking on the street is super expensive. Kitchen came with plates, bowls, cups and drinking glasses, but no knives, forks or spoons! No cloths for washing up dishes either.

The location is excellent, in the city centre close to several important museums, the Company Gardens, and the busy social world that is Long Street, with a comfy room ideal for a single traveller.
