    Vintage retreat from hustle of Taormina
    Classic vintage hotel; great salt water pool and sea swimming. Valet parking was great as at a premium in streets.

    Decent place to stay to tour Taormina and relax at Isola Bella & to dine at Da Giovanni
    Great location. The beach is on the wrong side for afternoon relaxing but the pool area was very nice. Lovely location but not really walkable into town. They had a shuttle bus but that was quickly booked up at popular times so we ended up getting taxis. Breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about. All in all comfortable but dated.
    Needs a complete overhaul. Didn't really feel it was good value for the money.

    A great value - all the things I would want from a EUR 1000/night resort at far less.
    The pool area was perfect. Views of Mt. Etna at sunset. Lot's of pairs of seats under umbrellas at whatever distance you want from the pool itself. It was the kind of place where you can relax with a sense of privacy. The bar staff there were delightful. They made me feel welcome like an old friend, and were attentive to all my requests. The restaurants all had a great view. Le Grand Bleu was ideal for a romantic dinner or gathering with friends. Bring the kids to the other restaurant.
    TBH, the only thing I would complain about was that there seemed to be no place to hang a towel in the the bathroom. Beyond that, the overall decor was very 1970s. Well kept, but neither classic nor up to date. OTOH, who cares. I don't spend a lot of time in hotel hallways and lobbys.
