Great value for money, very clean and amazing room and pool

The hotel was amazing! So clean, lovely staff and incredible pool area. Great value for money, huge comfy beds, huge rooms with TV for relaxing. Walk through the palm trees and you have the whole beach to yourselves.

The location itself is amazing but the island is now what appears to be a ghost town. There is nothing on the island. You have to get a taxi in to the main Ha Long area to find any sort of restaurants

It was convenient to the dock if you are going on a cruise the next day. But it was like a ghost town. A place that might have been good many years ago. Stay here for convenience, not for a holiday

Lovely big room with verandah. As it was quiet when we were there were given a free upgrade. Staff friendly and helpful. Beach out the front with chairs and umberallas and a lovely big pool on the property.

Beautiful, comfortable stay in secluded private area

Tuan Chau is much better than mainland Ha Long with a much better vibe. The rooms were clean, there was a great air con, the beach side villa rooms had a view of the archipelago through the palm trees, dinner was reasonably priced for a resort, poolside towel provision, porter service, lovely stroll along the beach with beach bars with a great vibe. Breakfast had decent options with a chef to make omelettes. We were able to check in early even though we didnt prearrange with no fuss at all. Friendly staff. Hotel has private beach out the front with sun beds under shade and looks like they clean the rubbish away too (further along the beach there is much more rubbish which is very sad)

The noise from King Kong world (presumably dolphin show) carried into the room, but it didnt last terribly long. There are no elevators for luggage and we ended up taking most of ours ourselves as it was a reasonable wait and we just wanted clean clothes and a swim. A bit more of a language barrier than wed experienced but nothing that google translate cant help with. Wifi seemed to drop out during the night and was difficult to connect to, but only in comparison to Vietnam standards. It worked better than most Australian hotels. It is far from Ha Long Bay with few restaurants around but we knew that before we booked and didnt regret it. If wanting to see Ha Long Bay, youd have to get a taxi to the mainland. We didnt use the laundry service as it was a 24 hour turnaround and we were only there for one night, but it was very expensive even so. In another resort we stayed at, we were charged VND35 per kg with 5th kg free while Tuan Chau was VND35-65 per item from memory. Jacuzzi wasnt working and pool didnt have any shade.

Lovely pretty hotel

It was nice. Great pool.

The restaurant wasnt great. I went for dinner once. But didnt eat because they didnt have any wine or half the things on the menu. But no problem because there are nice restaurants nearby

Lovely for being close to the beach and nice rooms

The rooms were lovely, big, clean, comfortable beds, nice balcony. The pool was nice and being so close to the beach was great! The staff were all very nice and helpful at all times.

We went from Sunday to Tuesday. The hotel was very busy during the weekend. It was nice to have breakfast included but the restaurant was extremely busy and noisy. The breakfast food was fine but catered for asian customers much more than western ones (for example no cereal, toast, fresh milk). Whilst our room was lovely, it the window was facing out to the road which was quite noisy. Of course there was loud karaoke in the evening, but this stopped around 9pm. We went to the beach in the later afternoon and it was very crowded, so if you like a quite beach we found the mornings and over lunchtime are best
