Gem of a place!

I must say that this was a wonderful place to stay with friends. The property is a cottage/villa with three bedrooms and a good sized kitchen and deck that opens out to the water. Photos do not do it justice ... I cannot wait to go back and we wished we were staying longer! The view from the deck is so peaceful and amazing; great sunrises if you are an early bird! The kitchen is very well-equipped for cooking and eating together. This place is excellent for families and for travel with friends, or for a work retreat. The location is very close to town and a 7-11 just a short walk away for basic groceries. We cooked a fair bit when we were there, and it was very convenient. A shop to rent two-wheelers to explore the island is right next door. The place felt safe as well (all of us women travelers), with two doors that could be locked at night. The bedrooms are generously sized with an ensuite bathroom in each room (and a bonus bathroom too!). All amenities and air conditioning to get good rest after a hectic day. The host Jennifer is really a wonderful and hospitable person. Super responsive and *very* helpful, including guiding us to finding the place. The location, even though close to town, is quiet. This is a real gem!

Unbelievably beautiful stay, probably the best views of any property on the island

absolutely beautiful location, very well equipped, everything you need for a long or short stay. each bedrooms as good air conditioning, and lovely hot shower. But its the beautiful location and views that make this place special. Right on the waterfront, you can literally experience local life all around you. Watch the local boats go by, enjoy the sea breeze, wonderful. Just a short walk and your in the Old Town. We went on low season, but still plenty of restaurants and shops open, also a 7/11 just a short walk from the house. Darren the owner was extremely friendly and helpful. If you want a 5 star hotel, its not for you. But if you ant a lovely comfortable spacious house, with beautiful views, and want to experience local life, this is definitely the place. we will definitely be back.

Chilled accommodation literally over the ocean

Fantastic location if you like quiet and relaxing and watching the tide going out and coming in. The villa is constructed on stilts above the ocean which I really like but please note that you will hear the waves lapping against the building. Villa is exceptionally clean and has a very well equipped Thai style kitchen so you can buy ingredients locally and cook yourself as an option as well as enjoying meals at the local restaurants in Old Town. Owners are exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Good wifi. Great chilled place to stay especially for families or a group of friends and good value. Will definitely be going back.

No tv. Minor issue as the uninterrupted view of the ocean is the main attraction but my Thai wife and Mother in Law do need their fix of Channel 3 sometimes!
