Superb

A very comfortable stay in a charming house with very friendly staff.

Breakfast was really good and the location was excellent. Very handy for Kloof Street and all the major sights.

It would be helpful to have bottled water provided in the rooms.

Pleasant, comfortable stay

The helpful staff, their information is priceless! The breakfast is fantastic, with all sorts of food and drinks you could wish for. Clean room in a tasteful style, with good bed and shower.

The guesthouse has no own laundry service. There is one very near that is recommended by the guesthouse, but it appeared to be slow. Just be aware of that.

Lovely stay

We had a lovely one night stay at Tintagel Guest House. The house doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is wonderful to have off-street secure parking, and once inside the house is beautiful, big, clean and classy. The outdoor area is lush and adds a great touch to the breakfast to be able to sit outside. Thanks to the staff at Tintagel, also for the personal touches.

We would stay at Tintagel again in a heartbeat!

Our stay at Tintagel Guesthouse was perfect! We were greeted warmly despite our late arrival and that warmth never dissipated! Utah and Sean looked after us as if we were their own parents (or grandparents!) they reassured us about possible problems in Cape Town, warned us about current scams and gave us a map, showing us where not to walk. Really, we felt perfectly safe in Cape Town by staying at Tintagel. The neighbourhood is safe even at night, with small shops nearby and several choices for restaurants and cafes. The walk into the centre of the city through Companys Garden was delightful, and an easy walk. Further on is easy too, walking to the V&A Waterfront took about 40 minutes and was straightforward and safe. We stayed five days and could have stayed longer and seen more. We used Uber when we felt too weary to walk home, its very cheap and easy. Breakfast at Tintagel was all we wished for, and more! Eating outside in the courtyard was delightful, and inside at one of the dining tables on a cool day. Its a beautiful old house with lovely furnishings. Our room was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Sean and Utah are the perfect hosts and very good at recommending places to go and things to see. At their recommendation we took the hop-on-hop-off bus to the Table Mountain cable car and saw so much more as we returned along the coast. We would not hesitate to stay at Tintagel again, nor to recommend it to friends. Im sorry to be so late writing this review. Thanks guys!
