    For the price we paid for the night it was an excellent experience
    The hotel is lovely, staff were helpful. Breakfast was nice although I would have preferred to pick the items/have alternative choices on my cooked breakfast as half of it I don't eat but that is me being picky.
    The WiFi is shocking, even reception said the same thing.

    We had an amazing time on a cheap budget.
    It looked amazing as we pulled up into the car park. The bar where we sat in the evening was very cosy and the staff were very friendly. We thought the rooms wouldnt be anything special as we booked a dog friendly room but we were very surprised and the rooms were really nice.
    The only thing I thought was missing was a mat or something to put our dog bowls down on so they didnt spill onto the carpet.

    An excellent country house hotel in the Fylde area
    A friendly welcome. It was perhaps not a busy time of year, and there was no wait at reception when checking in, or checking out. I had booked a half board package for a couple of nights a while before, and the value was good (it would have been more expensive had I booked later (I did consider trying to extend the stay, but the price on Booking.com was double the price, compared with what I had paid for the two nights that I had booked earlier, and hence I decided against). The bedroom was fully equipped, as was the en-suite bathroom which had a bathtub with shower over (my preferred option). Breakfast offered various options, including smoked salmon options, and the quality of food and service was generally good. Dinner offered a reasonable selection of items, but some courses were on the small side (and I don't have a large appetite). On one night there was a specials menu, but sadly not on the second night (at least for main course), which was a shame. Value for dinner was fair. Service was good on the whole.

    Whilst the en-suite bathroom was very good, the tap over the hand basin was loose, and had obviously tried to be fixed previously, but unsuccessfully. A new tap altogether was probably the only option. The replenishing of complimentary tea/coffee was a bit hit and miss (further supplies were available at reception, but if replenishment had been done adequately, it would not have been necessary). The hotel information in the room was not fully up to date. This offered fresh milk on request at reception, but as there was no fridge in the room, this was not helpful. A fridge in the room would have been helpful in any case. A further fish option at breakfast (like smoked haddock with poached egg) would have been welcome. Some of the waiting staff at breakfast and dinner, did not smile very much, and a smile always helps! Price of wines (by the glass and by the bottle) were over priced for the quality offered.

    Comfortable room good food
    Shower knob was missing so inoperable. Didn't notice till 6am when no one about to tell so sent email to reception to inform them of the issue as I had to leave. Whilst acknowledging receipt and thanking me for informing them it was disappointing to not be offered any form recompence and clearly the knob cannot have been in place when the room was prepared. Disappointed and spoilt stay.

    Perfect location and excellent experience.
    3 night stay over Christmas when it was very busy. Wonderful time. Food fresh and tasty, presented well. Staff were all attentive, friendly and helpful despite how busy they all were. Cannot fault anything.
