Disappointed after excellent previous stays.

Friendly staff.

Room very tired. Paint flaking off wall in room. Seemed to be under staffed. Waited sometime for evening meal and breakfast the following morning.

Room was as expected. We would return there to stay again as the position suited our needs

Room was ok. It suited us as was close to family We liked the goody bag left on Christmas Day. Room was quieter than anticipated Check in was easy.

If we had been sufficient tea and milk to cover two day staff break. One other day bed was left unmade We did not have dinner there as the pub was so noisy due to a lack of soft furnishings to absorb the noise. We only managed to park easily in the car park on one night.

Not much more I can say but it's noted for another visit if I need to stay on the mainland overnight

It was a wonderful place to stay, and the pub atmosphere was excellent. The location fit in well for our hospital appointment. I can recommend anyone stay that requires overnight accommodation at the hospital or that ferry services to the Isle of Wight are canceled due to weather conditions

I could not fault any thing with regards The Red Lion. I have stayed at many places in my life but this one ticks all the boxes
