Very nice stay... Will stay again...

Breakfast was fabulous. Location.. we had to drive to get any where. Which was a real shame.. staff were fabulous and friendly. Everywhere was very clean ..The Breakfast was amazing..

Our room was lovely... just needed xtra seating, had to sit on bed...(22)

Perfect place to stay and great location for getting into Newquay being short drive away.

Lovely accommodation and great food/drink in the restaurant. Staff very friendly. Highly recommended.

Biscuits with tea /coffee would be nice.

A wonderful weekend trip. It could not have been better.

Faultless, spotless, sumptuous! FABULOUS! The room was very well appointed, huge and spacious, and the bed was ultra-comfortable. The food was delicious (homemade steak and kidney pie) and the breakfast hot and also delicious. Breakfast was included in the room, which considering the size of the portions is amazing. The staff could not have been more pleasant and welcoming. We shall most certainly visit this property again.

The hotel and restaurant were a bit rowdy, but you expect Christmas parties to be a bit noisy. When we asked if we could be moved to a quieter table, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We were moved straight away.

A fabulous place to stay - we will stay again

A fabulous place to stay - lovely, big, bright rooms. Friendly staff, great food, good location right inbetween Truro & Newquay. Particularly liked that the rooms were in little cottages, so it didnt matter if the pub was busy on the weekend, as we had complete privacy. The vouchers for the bar if you didnt need housekeeping was also a great touch.

Excellent high standard of all round accomodation and service , hard to beat.

The room was outstandingly furnished and resourced in looks, quality and comfort - everything was there and of the highest standard. Breakfast was perfect and we were served really quickly and at a lovely cosy table. Dinner was very nice , great quantity and hot and accomodated my dietary needs ( no shellfish in the pasta sauce) . The staff were all fabulous, attentive, knowledgable, pleasant, interested, hard working and got everything right. We met some of the domestic staff on Sunday morning and they were an equal credit to the team and establishment.

A very small matter of being seated in the conservatory for dinner where there was a large family party celebrating and it was quite noisy . We had booked dinner over a week in advance and it would have been perfect to have been seated somewhere quieter. But we moved afterwards to the bar to finish our drinks which was fine.

Great hotel and location for exploring Cornwall ... Especially once the A30 roadworks is completed!

Breakfast is superb and perfectly prepared. Probably the best quality food in the area. The dinners were equally superb and reasonably priced. The Chefs here deserve credit for their consistency and quality, in fact, all the staff are brilliant!

At 15 degrees our room could have been a little warmer for the weather at the time of our visit, the heating control appeared not to be working in the room. The hotel's administration system appears to be a little shambolic, we received various conflicting email messages from the computer system in use after booking the hotel and also a table at the restaurant for 2 nights. We were able to clarify the situation by contacting reception direct. I think the problem is caused by an agency that manages the interface with the customers.
