Poor

A shambles !

This stunning hotel was a disaster from the minute we walked in. We had to que for over an hour to check in to be then informed our rooms were not ready, We were then offered a free complimentary drink at the bar that we waited another hour for. When leaving for dinner we still had no room. Luckily we were dressed for the occasion. Walking along the corridor there were multiple rooms with glasses and plates outside them. Such a shame as the decor and rooms were just beautiful. We swiftly left the next day without breakfast. Honestly worst hotel experience ever.

The whole structure of staff. Nobody took any accountability for the downfalls.

The building itself is exceptionally grand. The reception staff were by far the most competent, confident and best within the hotel. The building and reception staff were the only two factors that were as expected for the cost of the stay and the marketing of the quality of stay.

An exceptionally grand property, there is unfortunately a lack of clarity with the signage of what is a very confusing layout internally. It would be helpful if the housekeeping staff were actually familiarised with the layout as we were given incorrect directions by them many times. No robe or slippers present in our room, and elements of the bathroom were not clean to standard on arrival. The additional cost for the spa facilities in my opinion was very high for what is actually on offer, and with only a small number of beds available that also reduces the amount of time that it is comfortable to spend there. The business of breakfast I feel should have been preempted more, instead a lot of time was spent waiting for items to be replenished or settling for dregs that had been sat around for some time - not a slick operation.

Staff, location & spa Staff are lovely, always approachable and helpful, great location for sightseeing. Nice modern spa, again helpful staff on hand.
