    The house is beside the river and surrounded by trees, which feels blissful.
    There is nothing much about dislike.

    Nice stay in idyllic surroundings
    Most beautifully located on the banks of the river, the simple 2 bedroom, quaint cottage transported me back to the past. The sound of the river flowing by, the chirping of the birds and the crickets was very refreshing. The hostess was very accommodating, the breakfast simple but tasty. There was a pleasant walk by the riverside. It was fairly close to the main road. They were able to arrange good transport at short notice.
    The commode and toilet seat were slightly old. Being tall I could spot the dust on the high places and shelves which get missed unless one looks for it.

    the location was amazing ..it was a traditional home on riverside with lots of trees.. easy to reach from town and there is 2 famous temples nearby kumaranallur and etttumanoor was a plus point for us also

    An authentic Keralan experience.
    Superbly located traditional riverside Keralan bungalow located on farm smallholding. Adjacent bathing ghat leading to the river. Tucked away in the forest but only 10 mins walk to shops & restaurants and 3 km from rail station. Calm and serene location, hosted by friendly couple who provided delicious Keralan food. Bags of space including generous hallway, equipped kitchen diner and good sized bedroom with adjoining bathroom. Effective mosquito screens ensured a good nights sleep. Air con unnecessary as all rooms equipped with rotating fans.
    Directions in Malayalam would have been helpful to show the auto rickshaw driver.

    Very comfortable, spotlessly clean, welcoming hosts.
    Th garden, the riverside location, the comfortable mattress, the lovely bathroom, and the delicious breakfast.
    The house was quite difficult to find. Perhaps showing the address also in Malayalam would make it easier for rickshaw and taxi drivers to find the way.

    Tranquillity in a heritage home
    Idyllic setting by a quiet river. Huge trees and greenery everywhere which protect the house from the heat. Atmospheric traditional Brahmin house but with all modern conveniences and a kitchen. Lovely attentive owners who guided us around.
    The only thing ...... the mosquitoes in the garden but none got inside

    A Real Heritage stay
    Hosting family were very helpful and welcoming. The morning walk from stay to roadside shops were bliss The house does justice to its name. Heritage look in and out Monsoon season adds beauty to the place
    At night could not explore much outside due to dark forest outside. Not complaining about it since those were the plus points in day light hours.

    Simply wonderful
    If you are wanting a quiet holiday where you are tucked away amidst nature, and you are looking at the plains, then this is your home. The hosts are the owners themselves. Lovely couple. The river Meenachil flows behind the house. And the canopy of the trees are such that you wonder when the grounds around the house will get sunlight. One thing though: the night life in the trees really come alive. Crickets go wild. But inside the Mana (house), your windows are netted and you are sorted. Try and go there during the monsoon, and hear the rain falling first on the top of the canopy. Takes a while coming down.
