Superb

Great hotel, full of character and good location.

Lovely venue in the High Street of the town. Well placed and within reach out all shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Nice old building with character, open fire and great rooms.

Happy with all aspects of the property.

Superb

Very quaint historical lodging in a perfect town setting

The location of breakfast was nice with the fire burning. The employees working there were very friendly and responsive to our needs. Becs was extremely nice and catered to what we needed to make our stay great. The maintenance worker was excellent. We passed him in the hallway to mention a slight problem with the shower. He came immediately to repair it.

The one negative was that our room was not cleaned properly one day during the weekend. All other days we found housekeeping to do a good job.

Exceptional

Great location - lovely historical hotel

Third time staying here (now under new ownership). Burford is quaint and delightfully Cotswold-y! Hotel is on the main street with free on-street parking opposite. Lovely bar and excellent restaurant and food. Breakfast was only a continental buffet but self-service, so adequate even for hungrier guests!

The room we were allocated wasn't as nice as previously - small and with a strange, pointless '4-poster' bed (just a thin, modern, IKEA-like white MDF frame without any drapes!) which makes squeezing past the corner of dressing table a potential bruising hazard (even though we are slim!) It would be far better if the upper part of the bed was simply cut off so that it becomes a 'normal' bed - then the room would feel far more spacious. Since our ladt stay, the stair and landing carpets have become in need of TLC as is some of the decor. Disappointing for us, as the other rooms we've had previously were really superb, beautifully decorated and well-appointed.

Very good

Good quality accommodation.

Traditional old inn with plenty of character; bed was comfortable and plenty of hot water for showering. Staff attentive and helpful. No problem parking outside inn on main road.

Continental breakfast included in price but cooked one is extra cost. This should be highlighted.

Nice room, bathroom was small and had limited head height but fine for a night . Nice friendly staff. Location easy access to amenities in Burford. Breakfast is continental, cooked options are extra. Would visit again.

No parking but plenty of street parking around.

Perfectly located, friendly attentive staff, amazing food and a good g&t! Really dog friendly too

Service from staff, only met two waitresses but both were great (in particular the lovely lady who served us breakfast on 10th ), cozy atmosphere, amazing food both at dinner and breakfast. Eggs Benedict was very good, and they even spared a sausage for our dog, maybe the staff member was Teresa? I can't remember but she was brilliant. Room was small but comfortable though the mattress didnt suit me. Everything very clean.

One small issue was the mattress, it was too hard, I am fussy though!
