So (Read More)me guests were disappointed with the room setup of two single beds pushed together, and experienced noise from radiators in the morning. Despite some minor issues with the shower and TV remote, overall service was lovely.

We enjoyed our stay and felt like transported back in time (in a nice way) in this very charming hotel

Visited the hotel for a short birthday celebration with my teenage son. Really amazing interior and exterior design. It has purposefully retained the 1940s charm inside; has a marvellous staircase that my son and I used on purpose when coming down the stairs just because we enjoyed the view. Rooms were very, very cosy - provided everything expected for the rate and we were able to open the windows which I appreciate as I dont like the stale AC air. Bathrooms were very spacious. As a seafront hotel, as many in Brighton are, it offers view to the seaside from lounge/breakfast areas (although the room we used did not face the front).

We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The only two things I found a little less comfortable about were: - squeaky floors in our and others floors which means we could hear neighbours; - theres a bit of old building smell in the bedrooms, perhaps representing mold which was hidden to the eye.

Liked it very much and was good value.

The whole experience ; excellent breakfast.

Window fittings in need of repair; bar closed at 11.00pm; beverages were sometimes cold and had to be redone.

Very good

The hotel itself is beautiful. The breakfast was amazing. So much choice and very good quality produce.

No choice of pillows so I found them uncomfortable and too high. There was also a constant loud noise of running water in our room all night which was very annoying.

Very good

Relaxing stay. Comfortable. Amazing staff and food. Brilliant interior.

Breakfast was very good. Wide range of foods. The fresh fruit i.e. berries, pineapple were delicious. Scrambled eggs and mushrooms were amazing. Service excellent. Meal in bar was also excellent. Staff attentive but not intrusive. Top marks to your doorman who sorted out my taxi. Decor stunning and location amazing.

There was a loud noise coming from the kitchen for a few hours. Extractor fan I was told. Music in the bar was a little intrusive. Volume a little loud.

It was very noisy and there was no where to sit quietly and relax as the hotel was so busy and crowded all day

A lovely break away

Love staying in the grand hotel, fabulous staff and a fabulous place to stay

people with dogs in the bar area laying on furniture. Dont get me wrong I have a dog myself but when your out in a public bar with food being served , having dogs on the chairs / sofas is a definitely a big NO .
