The best stay of my trip, great memories

I had the best experience at this historic and charming hotel. From the building itself (there are lifts!), to the unbeatable location, to the interior decor to the professional, attentive, polite and friendly staff, everything oozes old school charm. I felt like I was back in the 90s in a very good way. The beds were comfortable, the washroom modern, and the breakfast was the best I had on this entire trip. Special thanks to the wonderfully friendly valet parking attendant!

A really great hotel, and I would definately go again.

The room was great, with a comfortable bed and great amenities. The location was great, right in the shadow of the Minster, and really close to several places I wanted to go in York. Overall, the Hotel was great for my first time away from home on my own.

The only problem I really had was that the room I got didn't have a good view; it was of a courtyard, but I didn't really go to York to look at it from a hotel anyway, so it didn't bother me too much.

Dry well located hotel for Yorks attractions and shops.

Look Breakfast was very good.

Mattress on bed needs to be changed as very hard and uncomfortable resulting in a poor nights sleep. Water coming through ceiling outside room door needs to be fixed .

Perfect location for a romantic break .

Beautiful city centre location Elegant building and rooms Staff friendly,welcoming and helpful Breakfast very good quality.

Think our room was next to a boiler or something that made lots of random noises. Took a bit to get to sleep as it became irritating. Also a bit pricey but was during Xmas run up and seemed about right for that quality hotel in this area ...

I will definitely be staying here again and highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is in a prime spot directly opposite the York Minster. It is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful, cheerful and friendly. I chose a classic double room and was very pleased with the room we were allocated. It was large with a spacious bathroom and we looked out on the York Minster. It is literally a couple of minutes walk in either direction to the centre and the museum and park. We had a breakfast included and can not fault it!

I couldnt open the window but it may have been for a health and safety reason
