Disappointing

Breakfast was pretty good. So were the bar & pool areas.

Rooms were in bad shape. Holes in the walls. Holes in the carpet. Burnt out or missing light bulbs. Did seam like they actually clean them. The table was obviously not wiped down.

Staff is very attentive to guest needs

Rented a room for my visiting elderly mother. The first king room was small and smelled a little like smoke. Asked the front desk if they could help with an upgrade. The front desk attendant was immediately helpful and assisted with the upgrade without further question after I explained the previous room. She helped upgrade to a room that exceeded my expectations (it was a weekday so I think there were extra spare rooms).

My mother was a no-show... Also, I think that first king room at the back of the hotel was VERY small - and smelled of stale smoke. It was definitely over-priced for what else is available in the area (I currently live close by and have stayed in this hotel once and other hotels numerous times before moving here). Maybe I got lucky, but I had a much better room the one time I previously stayed there - which is why I rented the room for my mother. This ended up well, but I'll be careful about selecting rooms if I need to rent another there.
