We were in a double queen room due to arriving a day early. I was talked into staying in the double queen for the whole duration. The first night I couldnt get comfortable in the queen bed and the people above us had a dog that was running around all night. I went down to the front desk at 3:00 AM and said that we wanted our king suite in the morning, they said OK and I went down in the morning and was told that they were going to put us in the owners suite. The room had not been remodeled, the furniture was not in good shape and we noticed that night the door had no inside locks. I went to the front desk the next morning and told them about the shape of the room and that there was no inside locks. The weekend manager tried railroading me and said that they didnt have any other rooms and were overbooked. I said at least fix the door locks, she said that there was no one there to fix it. Being a contractor for 40 years, I said give me the parts and I will fix the door myself, she said no. Then all of a sudden she was able to move us. My wife said no, we have moved enough and we are checking out. We were told that we would get a credit on the rest of the stay. They didnt tell me the amount of the final bill, I asked for a receipt, it took a while for them to give me one and I didnt look at it until we got home and my wife said that they charged us for an extra day. I called the hotel and they said that the general manager would be in the next day and to leave him a message. The next day there was a message from the manager saying that they were going to credit us one day. We were charged $309 for the owners suite, we will never use that hotel again.
