The staff were friendly and welcoming and it was a good place for connecting my travel.

Centrally located so it was quick for me to book a bus to Nairobi and be there on time at 3am

Even I encountered minor issue I still recommend this hotel

Staff are accommodating.Since no phone in the room they will reply in Watsapp immediately.

On my first night at room 404, there was a leaking water from AC( I understand that it may happened sometimes) the following day they transferred me in room 402, its a big room however wifi became very slow and I cannot opened my messenger( but I understand sometimes it happened).

Great Hotel in downtown DAR

We arrived early at 10 AM in the morning, hours before check-in and were provided with a room just 30 minutes later. The location is excellent in downtown DAR and in walking distance from the ferry station. The staff is really really nice and helpful and the rooms have A/C and are en-suites. The hotel provides coffee, tea, and a light breakfast in the morning and has a balcony from which you can observe the buzzing city life of DAR. It definitely has an excellent price value ratio and we would always come back to Sofia Hotel. Asante Sana!

You should bring shampoo since there is only soap and bug spray if you are sensitive since there are no mosquito nets but that shouldnt keep you from not booking this great hotel!

The staff is friendly, the location is excellent, the rooms on the ground floor are excellent, I do not recommend the room on the second floor where we stayed this time, The air conditioner did not work, it was very hot in the room, the room was small.
