Exceptional

A really unique and amazing property with great service.

Located in the heart of old town so 5-15 mins walk from everything. Beautiful hotel with many features dating back centuries. Service is impeccable - smiley, helpful people everywhere with no expectation of a tip. Lovely pool area with nice and plentiful sun loungers. Amazing world-class restaurant at very reasonable price.

The hotel added on an extra 25per night general service charge (to be allocated across all staff) and a 5 a night insurance/security charge. I found that rather distasteful given the cost per night of the rooms. Has a smell of Rynair about it!

Fantastic stay in Cartagena

- the hotel room was great and the property has lots of facilities - food was very good both breakfast and lunch - staff were friendly - location is great (right in the walled city)

- there is some noise due to the location but this is to be expected and would only wake a light sleeper - the service at times felt a bit impersonal but this was simply down to the size of the property - some bits of the property are showing their age. Broken signage, tiles, bathroom lights ect. Just needs a bit more maintenance. But for a property this old its generally in good shape.

We both wish we could have stayed longer!

The staff was incredibly attentive and kind and accommodated every need of ours with graciousness.

A couple of spots in the common areas needed a little paint.

I can sum it up in a word, Pretentious

Its beautiful. The pool is awesome

Its over priced. My room faced a brick wall for $600 a night. I can get a suite with balcony over the water for 300 less in boca grande and have a more guest friendly staff than how I was treated on this trip
